Tris' POV

Two days. I''ve counted every second since i was put in the car. So far they haven't tested on me quite yet, but i know its inevitable. The room I'm in isn't a prison cell which means they plan on keeping me for a while. In fact, the place they have given me is pretty nice having all the basic necessities. As you walked in the door there was a small living area with a kitchen off to the right and a bedroom to the left with a connecting bathroom. I wanted to like it, but it just reminded me how i would be here and not with my family.

I'm sitting on the double bed staring at a wall when they pound on the door. "Mrs. Eaton your needed in his office" Came a deep voice. His? I finally get to meet my capture, hopefully. I move at a snails pace to the door and as soon as i open it each guard grabs one arm and pulls me down the hallway. I memorize my turns, left, right, left, third door down. As i open the door all that i can see is the blinding light and a desk. Once i adjust my eyes i can see the chair and computer. Sitting in the chair was someone familiar who i hadn't thought much about. "Matthew! Thank god you'll get me out of here." i say sprinting in the door. As i go to hug him he looks at me in complete and utter shock. "T-Tris you're alive?" he asks, stepping away from my hug. "Yea..." i trail off. "This is an awkward situation then. I was hoping that your daughter would be easier because she didn't know me. But this will prove to be a challenge." he said staring me up and down. "What are you talking about?" "Don't you see Tris? You died and were brought back to life! Imagine what we could do if we had Caleb's serum. He refused to give it to us so we had to do it the hard way." he smiled. But it wasn't the kind smart Matthew smile, it was an evil grin. "Matthew i don't understand." "No one ever does. It's better if you don't protest seeing as how this might take a few months, maybe years." he waved his hand and i was escorted out of the room. Years? i might not see the twins first steps, i'll
miss their first birthday, i'll miss Natalie's fifth birthday. I'll miss the most important years of my kids lives. I can't be here for years. No i refuse to accept Tobias would give up looking for me. But what would he do if he found me? Surely they'd kill him. What if they already have? The kids would be parent-less. No that won't happen, i won't let it.

The next day was my first day of testing. They took large amounts of blood from me leaving me extremely faint. These people are doctors they should know that this much blood loss isn't good for a person. Or they do know and they're doing it on purpose. Either way i can't walk and i start to hallucinate. Maybe from blood loss or sleep deprivation. In front of me stands my mother and father playing with Natalie while Al is sitting with Tobias and the twins. It looked so real like i could hear the squeals of Natalie and the giggles of Mason. "Tobias?" i call out hoping for an answer. I was extremely disappointed. No answer just a guard to take me back to my living space.

The guard just threw me in the room not bothering to ensure my safety. Maybe that's a good thing. If i'm dead they can't test on me. What am i saying if i die...again... they'll test on Natalie and my children won't have a mother. As i'm debating my life i hear the cries. My babies crying noises ring through the room. It's not real, no matter how many times i think it, it still feels real. I stumble through to the kitchen and find that there's a computer sitting on the counter. On the monitor is Tobias trying to rock Mason back to sleep. It's around six and time for the twins to go to bed. My heart aches to be there. To hold Mason in my arms and tell him it will be alright while Tobias wraps his arms around my waist. Finally Mason stops crying and Tobias walks out of the room. The scene changes and he's in the kitchen making what looks like spaghetti. Natalie bounces into the kitchen with Cara and they both ask if it's ready. I laugh a little but Tobias puts a fake grin on his face and says it'll be three more years. When the girls walk away Tobias leans against the counter with his head in his hands. He's never had to be alone with all three kids before. He starts to say something to himself and i can faintly make out my name. Then his phone rings and he rushes to answer it. "Please tell me you found her." silence. He goes back to the food with the phone still in his hands and puts it on a plate. "Girls!" he shouts. Then back to his phone he says "I'll help. Can Christina watch the kids?" more silence. The girls walk in and get there food. Natalie looks like she's stalling, probably just trying to hear the conversation. "Great." Tobais says putting the phone down. "Natalie Aunt Christina is coming to watch you guys while i go find mommy ok?" he asks. Her eyes light up and look at him. "You're going to save her like always i know you will!" she squeals. Tobias sighs and goes to the bedroom, muttering "I just hope i'm not too late."

The next day was Caleb's trial. I thought it was completely ridiculous that i had to go, what was i going to do? We sat in a large room with chairs facing a large desk and a chair in front of the desk. "Caleb Prior, on trial for defiance against government research." the judge stated to the jury. "Tris Eaton, i believe you are a witness." he said again. A witness? To what? "I- uh- I mean he used it on me and my daughter but i never saw him defy anyone." i say from my seat in the audience. "I see. So your the victim?" the judge asked. "My brother saved my life and my daughters. I would hardly call myself a victim." i retort. "He has his right not to tell anyone you know. You can't just punish him for not telling anyone." i say more to myself. But it was heard. "Then what do you suggest should be his punishment for his defiance. This is interfering with government research may i remind you." the judge says getting angry. "I don't know. Community service?" it was just a suggestion. "Alright, prison it is. I say we keep him there until he spills." With that the judge walks up to me. "It was nice seeing you again." How did he know me. Then i instantly remember. How could i have forgotten that smart ass candor? "Peter? I thought you lost your memory" i stated. "I did. Got some of it back however. I distinctly remember a certain boyfriend of yours beating me to a pulp." he said with a growl. "He's my husband now. And you were about to kill me. Don't think i've forgotten that." i snap. "That's enough you too." says a voice from over the intercom. It was Matthew's. "Take Caleb to his cell. And Tris, you are to report to the labs." I sighed and for good measure punched Peter in the nose. Then walked out the doors to another day in hell.
