I open my eyes and see an entire sea of black. "Where the actual fuck am I?" I see something or someone out in the distance.
"HEY! Could you lend me a hand here?" It turns around.
"Ah, there you are. I've been expecting you for a while." I look at it with curiosity.
"Alright, first I got some questions. First off, who the hell are you? Second off, where the fuck am I? And finally, what do you mean by 'I've been expecting you.'?" It looks at me.
"Oh yeah, I forgot. Mortals can't comprehend this form. Hold on a second." A big flash of smoke suddenly appears.
"There we go, is this better?" The being that came out of the smoke is...
God?
"Yep, I'm God. At least how you humans see me." My jaw drops to the floor.
"So does that mean I am in Heaven or Hell right now? Also, I'm really sorry." I ask.
"Well to answer your question, I'd say you and I are in a dream right now, technically. But this isn't an actual 'dream'. And it's alright."
"Alright then, could you please answer my final question?" He nods."I have been expecting you for a while because..."
"I have chosen you."
I look at him with curiosity. "Pardon my french, but what the fuck? Why me?" He smiles.
"Because you have both the will and the strength to save humanity." I chuckle.
"I got to admit this is interesting, but still it's stupid." He looks at me and ignores my last statement.
"Throughout history, I have chosen humans that are worthy of saving the entire human race. Brave souls that gave everything they had for humanity. You are special though. Unlike all of them, you have a chance at surviving this task."
I look around. "Well, how did you bring me back?" His eyes are glowing and there are orbs of pure energy in his hands.
"That was not a problem. I sent you back to the day before the apocalypse. When it starts, go to the abandoned military base. You will find clues there."
He looks at me. "Maybe you will find the truth. But be careful, that 'resurrection' can only be done once to a good soul and twice to a Chosen Soul." I ask another question.
"It's time for me to 'wake up', isn't it?" He looks at me with a somber expression.
"Yes, it is time. So, Farewell and good luck. I think you will need it." As he said that, the sea of darkness started to glow and I felt myself becoming stronger. Like I was waking up. Probably because I was waking up.
