"John! Look at this!" Susie shouted from halfway across the store. I chuckle.
"You know this is supposed to be a supply run, right?" I say while jogging to her.
"So? Look at this." She said while pointing at a hunting rifle.
"This is a good gun, but it is too bulky, plus it has a scope. We don't need a scope yet. Besides, we should get baseball bats and crowbars. Those are light-weight and easy to modify."
She looks slightly mad. "Fine. You're the zombie expert. " She says irritated. "zombie expert, my ass." She mutters under her breath.
"Hey! I heard that you know. While we are at it, let's get some nails and chains. They can slow down zombies trying to bust into any area and you can use it to modify the bat and make it deadlier." I say with a matter of fact tone. As we walk down the aisle, we get interrupted by Ron, the "cool kid" and his posse.
"Oi! Look at these two lovebirds." They all snicker. "Hey, Ron. We are in the middle of something important so could ya kindly fuck off? That'd be real nice, sweetheart."
His minions look shocked, while Ron looks pissed. Heh, back before I 'died' he was a warlord that spared no one. "What did just you say to me?"
I grin. "Need me to spell it out for you? F u c k o f f ."
"You done fucked up now! When I get done with you, your whole face will be covered in blood!" He shouts. He throws a right hook. I step back.
"Nice. I'm feeling kind today, so I'll leave you conscious today."
He tries to hit me with an uppercut. I grab his fist. "This is where the fun begins. Susie, could you stay back? Thank you." I hit him in the jaw with a jab from my spare hand. "You got it, hun." She says while backing up.
I grab his shirt and then knee him in the gut. He coughs after I push him back. "Hrmp! How did a bitch like you get so good at fighting?"
He tries to hit me with a jab and right hook combo. I block it. “Nice combo. My turn.”
I hit him in the stomach and stomp on the back of his knee. He is kneeling on one knee, I use my other leg to knock him straight on his back. I laugh. "Lots of experience." I say as I get him in an armbar.
I position myself. "You can still give up." He tries to break out. "Never!" He says, without knowing the consequences.
"Have it your way." I say coldly. And then... SNAP! The sound of his bones breaking almost mask his screams. Almost.
"ARGH! OH GOD DAMN! WHY!?"
I get off of him. "You started it. Now I will end it." I say. And then I lightly stomp on his face. He’s now knocked out. "Any of you wanna fight? I'm ready for another one." They all shake their heads no.
"Well then, take him to a hospital. And don't try anything." They pick him up and run out to their car. "Damn, John! You had to break his arm?" Susie shouts. "Yep. He was a warlord. And I put an end to it before it could even start."
Susie nods her head. "I can see that happening. Now, shall finish our shopping?"
She says holding out her hand. "Yes, we shall." I say as I take her hand. The rest of the shopping was uneventful and we got home quickly.
"I'm gonna take a nap. Wake me up in an hour." I say sluggishly. "Alright!" She yells from across the room.
