The Witness

I woke up, got ready, then drove to the warehouse everyone was really confident in me. I put on the suit it was a full black suit with a mask. I got a pistol and a silencer then went home. I spent the rest of the day chilling until Xavier called to tell me to get to the address. I put on the suit then climbed out of my window. The suit had a sticking ability so I can walk on any surface. I was sticking to the buildings as I ran then jumped to my location. I was at my location when Xavier pointed out my target I pulled out my gun. Before the target could move I shot hitting him right in the head. I was walking down the building when I noticed a familiar guy starring at me. I didn't want him to see my face as he opened his window. I panicked then ran home I could have sworn I heard something behind me, but I didn't dare to turn back. I got inside took off the mask as I closed the window. I could hear everyone cheering for my first kill in the suit. "Hey (y/n) come by tomorrow to get your reward," I smiled then took off the suit. I went to bed wondering how much money I was going to get. I woke up a little bit later than normal, but I didn't mind. I got into the shower then got ready to go meet the guys at the warehouse. I got into my car driving there. I got to the door I knocked loudly then Predro opened the slot then closed it. He opened the door then high fives me as I walked in. I walked into the main room of the warehouse where everyone was waiting. They all cheered as I came in they handed me a beer as everyone congratulated me. They all patted me on the back and Xavier shushed everyone as he got up to do a speech. "Alright everyone listen up! I want to say a few words about our small killer. She has been awesome even though last night was her first kill. I want to everyone to know that this girl right here has been the best shooter I have seen since Matt," everyone nods in agreement as I sit there smiling. "But I'm really excited to be working with her more. Congrats girly!!" He yells and we all raise our glasses taking a sip. After my beer I took a few more practice rounds before I went to Xavier to get my pay. He told me my next job would be in a few days. I waited to get home before I opened my envelope of money. I opened it counting $300 which honestly I was super surprised. I was thinking about the guy who saw me the other night then it hit me. I knew who he was it was the guy that I keep seeing at the market down the road. Thankfully I had my mask on, but either way that was too close for my liking. With my current job I could go back to college if wanted to. I don't think it would be a good idea though especially since I get worked up really easy. I spent the rest of the day cleaning up the apartment and watching tv.
