Not so Bad

"I really do think I should be going," I said standing in front of the door. As I was reaching for the knob he grabbed my wrist. "I need to explain to you what happened last night," he said blocking my way. "Please just have some breakfast and I will explain everything," he said looking sincere. I sighed wondering if I even wanted to know what happened last night. I sat down at the small island in the kitchen. He handed me a plate of pancakes and bacon. It actually looked really good. "There are eggs and sausage up here if you want it," he said coming to sit next to me. I was eating in silence when he started the conversation. "So, I know a lot happened last night and you saw something you shouldn't have. I just want you to know that the big guy you saw last night isn't going to hurt you," I was confused, that was a monster and it was eating a guy. "Can I show her what you mean?" Venom asked I sighed seeing that she was confused. "No, you're only going to freak her out more." "So, that monster isn't going to hurt me?" I asked and he looked at me. "No, he isn't going to hurt you." I waited for him to say anything. "Look why don't we introduce ourselves. I saw you in the market that night when you took down that guy trying to rob Mrs. Chen. My name is Eddie, Eddie Brock." He held out his hand to me. I took it shaking it slightly. "I'm (f/n) (l/n) I just moved here from (Home town)." He nodded as he pulled his hand away from mine. "Ok the monster you say last night he's a friend of mine. He didn't mean to scare you he was just hungry," he said and my eyes went wide. "I know I'm not from this world, but am I really a monster?" "Dude, you eat people that's pretty much a monster." "So, Eddie why does your friend eat people?" I asked still freaking out that someone could be friends with something so terrifying. "He's not from this planet, he needs a human host to live, and that's the only thing he can eat. I know this sounds weird, but he's like a really deadly parasite." "I'm not a parasite!" Venom said getting upset. "So, he needs a host does that mean that..." I looked at Eddie it all made sense now that's why Eddie was there when that thing disappeared. "Just stay calm, I'm his host. He really isn't a bad guy though he actually stops bad guys, but in return he eats them." I was about to pass out this was too much to handle. "So, you are his host and he what like lives inside your body?" I said trying to put all the details together. "Yeah, he does. If it's alright with you I'm going to let him out and I swear he won't hurt you. I know he looks scary, but he's actually a good guy." I nodded Eddie stood up from his chair taking a few steps back. Suddenly this black goo covered Eddie's body. It enveloped his body until the monster reappeared. I screamed falling off the stool. I got up to see the monster staring at me. "So, you're Eddie's friend?" I asked taking a look at him. "Yes, I'm his friend." "Wow, you are literally the scariest thing I have ever seen. Like you look like something from a nightmare. I can't get over it you're just wow," I said looking at this thing. He gave me a toothy grin which was even more terrifying. "Do you have a name?" I asked because I had to call him something. "I am Venom," I looked at him then nodded. "Ok well it was nice meeting the two of you. I'm gonna go home take a nap and pretend this was all a dream," I stood up walking to the door. I put my hand on the knob when Venom's black goo coved my hand. It crawled up my hand to my wrist then it connected to my other wrist. Basically I was now wearing handcuffs made out of Venom. "Don't leave," Venom said sounding like he was begging me. "It's okay, I'll be back later. I promise," Venom let go of me and I left the apartment heading home.
