Chapter 12

Kay's POV

I couldn't belive what was in front of me.

MY HOUSE WAS A MESS!!!

"What the hell!! Who did this???" I screamed, bending down and picking up some glass from a vase on the floor.

"I'm calling the police." Austin said, taking out his phone and dialing 911.

While he was on the phone, I just stood there, looking around my trashed house.

"Babe,  does it look like anything is stolen?" Austin asked, moving the phone away from his ear a little.

I just shook my head no.

Austin got off the phone and said, "They're on their way, they should be here in like 5 minutes." he stated.

I just looked up at him and started crying.

"Shhhh baby it's going to be okay." he assured, pulling me into his chest and stroking my hair, trying to calm me down.

"But if they didn't steal anything, what was the point of all this? Do they want to hurt me or something?" I cried into Austin's chest.

"Why would anyone want to hurt you?" he asked.

"What if it was Derek? What if he found me!? He told me he wanted back what was his! He wants to take me back there so he can hur-hurt me again!" I sobbed.

"I promise you, I will never let him hurt you again. I promise he won't take you away from me." Austin comforted me, pulling me in for another, tight, long hug.

When we pulled away, the cops arrived.

After asking some usual questions, he asked, "Is there anyone that has a motive to do this?"

I just looked at Austin,  unsure how to answer. Do I say it could be Derek,  or do I just leave it alone?

Before I had the time to answer, Austin spoke for me. "Derek,  her ex boyfriend."

"What's Derek's last name?" the cop asked.

"Jones." I answered.

"Okay, we will put this in the report and get a hold of this Derek guy. We dusted for finger prints so, that should give us a culprit."

"Thank you, have a nice night." I said goodbye to the cop.

"Austin?"

"Yes baby?" he said pulling me close and kissing the top of my head.

"Can I sleep at your house again, I'm too scared to stay here alone." I asked, Austin still holding me tight.

"Of course sweety. Do you want to get some cloths first?"

"Can I wear yours, it smells nice?" I giggle.

"Of course baby," he laughed,  "let's go." he said hooking his arm around my waist, guiding me to his house.

In a matter of 30 minutes,  I was fast asleep in Austin's arms, wearing his Nike shirt and a pair of baggy sweat pants.

A/N

Okay, so basically in this chapter Kay's house was broken into and destroyed. Both Austin and Kay believe Derek has something to do with this, as Austin tells police the only person with a motive to do this is Derek.
