Chapter 27

When we arrive at my house, the police were aleady there and, finshed searching my house?

I look around at the two police cars but neither of them hold Derek. We walk up to one of the officers and he gestures to austin and says, "Are you the one who called about the man in this young lady's house?"

"Yes" Austin answers

"Well it turns out there was no one inside or around the perimiter. There were also no signs of forced entry and nothing was stolen"

"What, no no that's not possible. He called me. I know it was him, I just know it." I begin to panic and start crying as Austin brings me to his chest while he caresses my back.

"Thank you officer." Austin says. The officer nods and walks to his vehicle.

~2 Hours Later~

Austin was still holding me tight in his chest while we lay on my couch in comfortable silence. I lay in his arms just thinking about my reality. All of this seems like it could be a movie. Sadly it's not, it's my real past coming back to take over my life again. I can't let that happen, but how would i ever do that?

It's almost 1 and i haven't eaten anything.

"Austin?" I say and look up to meet his gaze. "Can we go to Waterburger or something? I'm really hungry."

"Sure baby." he says and kisses my forehead.
Austin drives us to Waterburger, we order our food and sit down to eat.
"How is that possible? He was on the phone. I'm not crazy Austin, you have to believe me." I plee.
"I believe you baby..it's okay. I told you, I'm not going to let him hurt you again."
"I love you." I say.
"I love you too."
When we're done eating, we head to his house because again, I'm too scared to stay at my house, even with Austin there to protect me. I just don't feel safe in my own house anymore.
And to be honest, me and Austin technically already live together. We should start thinking about officially moving in together.
"Hey Austin?"
"Yes baby?"
"We should move in together. Like, officially. I'll put my house on the market. We technically already live together, it's just now both of our names will be on the papers."
"I was thinking the same thing! Then we won't have to go back and forth between houses to get the things we need." He laughs.
I'm so glad we're on the same page. I love him so much it's unreal.
"Well it's settled then. Tomorrow, I'll put my house up on the market, get a real estate agent and start moving my stuff over to your house. Then, when my house gets sold and we get the money, we can go on a vacation! Pay some bills of course, but go on vacation. Far away from here!"
"It's a plan then. Tomorrow, we take a bug step in our relationship."
"The next big step involved a ring." I wink at him and he laughs along with me.
All thoughts of Derek are gone. Austin knows how to make me forget about my problems and have a fun time.
Austin clearly is the one for me.

Sorry I haven't updated in soooo long! I was grounded and then I was starting a new story called 'Destroyed.' Please go take a look at it. It's only two chapters so far but it'll get better. I promise I will keep updating this story AND Destroyed (if you're even interested in that one).
