Chapter 17

Austin put some of his cloths here in my house to last him a week. We're waiting for my mom, Cam and Nash to show up.

I'm now done with dinner and have everything nice for when they arrive.

I was touching up the kitchen when I heard the door bell. And when I pulled the door open, I revealed Mom, Cameron and Nash.

My eyes started to water as I hugged my mom and my two brothers. (remember. Nash is like a brother to Kay.)

They came inside and Austin was walking up to me from the living room.

"And this is Austin, my boyfriend." I introduced Austin.

"Nice to meet you all." Austin said, shaking everyone's hand.

"Don't do anything to hurt my sister." Cam said, giving him a stern look.

"Trust me. I would never do anything to hurt her." Austin said, looking into my eyes.

"Come on, let's go eat." I smiled as Austin and I lead them to the table.

"When did you learn to cook like this." Cam asked, gesturing to the food.

"Books." I laughed.

~Skipping Diner~

We were all catching up, as well as Austin and my family getting to know each other better.

"So you guys basically live together?" Nash asked.

"Well yeah, I guess so." I laughed. Cam just gave me a look.

"Cam, can I talk to you in the kitchen please?" I asked.

He nodded and got up.

"What's wrong?" I asked when we go in the kitchen.

"What do you mean?"

"Why are you giving me that look? You've been doing it ever since Austin began talking. Do you not like him?" I started to tear up because me and Cameron have always been really close, and I live Austin. If Cam doesn't like him, I wouldn't know what to do.

"No Kay it's not that I don't like him," he started, pulling me into a hug. "It's just that, after I heard what happened with Derek, I'm scared you'll get hurt again. And seeing you hurt makes me hurt too. I love you too much."

"I love you too Cam, but you can trust me on this. I know Austin would never hurt me. And if he ever did, I will tell someone, I won't deal with that again."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

He gave me a hug and a kiss and we headed back to the living room.

We stayed up chatting for hours. Everyone got settled in their rooms and me and Austin were cuddling in my room on my bed.

"Does your brother hate me or something? Cuz whenever I would say something he always gave me a look, but when you came back from the kitchen, he didn't do it anymore." Austin asked.

"Well he wasn't very fond of you because he was scared you were gonna hurt me like Derek did, but I assured him that you won't ever do that to me."

He put his index finger under my chin and lifted my head up so I can look him in the eyes.

"I would never, ever hurt you in anyway. You mean so much to me and I love you so much. You're beautiful, smart, funny, sexy, cute, and more all at the same time. I would never even think about laying a hand in you like that." he kissed my lips long and passionately.

I pulled away and said, "I love you."

"Too."

"What?" I asked.

"I said I love you so you say I love you too."

"Well I feel like if I say too I'm only agreeing with you and it doesn't mean that much, so I leave to too out of it." I explained.

'See, this is where your cute, smart side comes out." he laughed.

"Heyyy. I thought I was cute all the time." I whined.

"Of course you are." he laughed.

'Now come on, let's get to sleep, it's late and you've been up since 5 this morning." he explained, turning off the light and covering us with a blanket. He's so sweet and caring.

"Goodnight baby, love you."

"Love you." I responded. And with that, we both slowly drifted to sleep.

A/N

Austin is so sweet. Cam wasn't very fond of Austin, but hey! He's a protective brother who wants to keep his sister safe. Nash's and Cam's POV's with be in the next chapter, same with Kayla's mom.
