Yemi Wilson
I sat down with the girls as they drank they little smoothie. Bentley and I agreed to tell the girls today. "When is daddy coming, mummy?" Zania asked. Just then the doors opened and in came Bentley and his bitch. "I told you not to bring her." He sat down with her and ignored me. "What's going on?" Zamia asked this time.
"Mummy and daddy has something to tell you." They looked at us, their big blue, innocent eyes, looked into ours. "What is it?" Both of then questioned. "Well mummy and daddy don't love each other anymore and we decided to live apart." Zania stopped drinking and pouted. "We won't be bad anymore." God this is so hard.
"Don't worry girls, daddy can come and see you at my house." I'm not going to shut him out completely. "Plus you get to have me as a mom." Yolanda smiled at them. The twins screwed their faces. "No thank you." I bit my lip so I won't laugh.
"But why doesn't daddy love mummy anymore?" Zamia asked. "Daddy loves me now, that's why." Zania gasped and got off her chair. "You are trying to take my daddy away, you witch!!!" She screamed, causing people to look at us. "Baby that's enough, calm down." Bentley went to hold her but she moved away.
"I know you made mummy sad." She ran to me. "I wanna go home please, mummy." Zamia held her drink. "I don't like daddy anymore." Zania whispered, well at least tried too. "You're turning the kids against their father already?" Yolanda scoffed. "You shut up witch." She pointed at her. "I'm leaving." With that I got the girls and walked out.
"Don't worry mummy, Zania and me will love you with all our hearts." I will talk to them once I get home. "Yemi, how are you?" I looked up and it was Derek. "And these must be the beautiful girls." He smiled at them. No reply. Looking at them, they were both drooling over him. "You're so handsome." Zania gushed. He laughed at her. "I'm sorry about them." He shook his head. "It's fine."
They were stirring at him with eyes big, like they were in a trance. "Sorry about them." He shook his head. "You look beautiful." I looked at myself then thanked him. "Well since I have you here, I was thinking maybe we can get a drink?" He was my lawyer, did he forget that I just got divorced? "Or not, sorry for asking."
The girls looked at me. "Well I must be on my way, nice seeing you again." All he did was smile at me. "You too and it was lovely to meet you ladies." He waved at them causing them to blush.

"And you said no?!" My sister yelled at me while cutting chicken. "I didn't say no." She turned, pointing the knife at me. "You didn't say yes either." I sighed leaning back on the chair. "What was I supposed to say?" Nina rolled her eyes. "Yes! Your husband spent more than half of your marriage with that bitch you called a best friend while you loved him. It all went in vain. He even disrespected you by bringing his slut to something that involved you and him!!"She was right. "You need to realize that he's not going to take you back. I know it's hard to accept and I'm sorry for being blunt but sometimes you have to say things as it is." My heart dropped. I wasted so many years on a man that was playing me. Tears welled in my eyes. "Why would he do that to me? Why would he do that to the kids? I thought he was happy." I cried in hands.
"You can do so much better than him, Yemi. Don't make his words get to you." This was so embarrassing. "Why don't you call Derek, get your mind off things." I took her phone and bit my lip. "I don't want to use him." She sighed. "Just call him." I saw his name pop up and called.
"Hey, Nina, what's up?" His deep voice spoke.
"Uh, It's Yemi." There was a pause.
"What's up?" He cleared his throat.
"I was calling to tell you that I change my mind, I would actually love a drink."
He chuckled. "If Nina forced you to go out with me, it's okay I know that you're not ready."
"No, she didn't I really want to." There was more silence.
"Well how about Saturday night? Around 8?"
I looked at Nina and she nods. "Sure, that's perfect." I gave him my number and hung up.
"Was that so hard?" I looked down at my thighs. Was I really that fat? "Stop thinking, don't worry I take the kids." I thanked her and got up when my phone buzzed. Looking at it, I saw a text from a number.
'Just making sure it's you 😁'
I smiled at the text.
'It's me, Derek.'
"He's got you smiling already?" She teased me. "Shut up and cut your chicken." She laughed at me. Maybe this wasn't so bad.

A knock rang through the house. "Coming!" I stood up from the table where the girls sat with their reading book and homework. Opening the door, I wish I hadn't. "What do you want, Bentley?" He blinked at me. "I would like to see my daughters." He tried walking in but I blocked him."I told you to call before you come." He gave me a dry chuckle. "You think I don't see what's going on?" What was he even talking about now? "I know that you're telling them things about me so they can hate me." I rolled my eyes. "You and I both know that I won't do that." He scoffed. "You don't think I saw how comfy you and girls were with that lawyer guy. Is he my replacement?"
Was he drunk? "Bentley go home, I'm sure your girlfriend is worried." I tried closing the door but he held it open. "Leave, Bentley before I call the cops, I'm sure you don't want your daughters to see you in cuffs." He looked me dead in my eyes. "I'm glad that I got rid of you, you were always dead weight." My breath got caught in my throat.
"Fat ass." He walked away, leaving me standing there in my thoughts. I held my thighs. "Mummy who was that?" Zania asked, running to me. "No one baby, let's finish up your home work." She smiled as we went back to the table.
