Bentley Jones

I sat down in my office, tapping my foot. "Come on, answer the damn phone." Yolanda paced the room, chewing her nails. "Hello this is Knight's Law Firm, how may I help you." A woman's voice came through the phone.

"Hello, I'm looking for someone to defend me for custody. I would like the best person you have." Silence then came.

"I'm sorry but I need your name please." She asked.

"Right, my name is Bentley Jones, I own a restaurant. It's called Elite" She hums

"Well unfortunately our best lawyer, Mr. Knight himself can't be yours."

"What? Why not?" I was loosing my patience.

"Well there is someone else who wants Mr. Knight as well."

"Whatever they paid, I'll pay higher." Then more silence.

"I'm sorry but Mr. Knight has made up his mind, if you wan-" I hung up the phone, pissed off. She looked at me and groaned. "Great, you're gonna loose." She sat down. "It's not my fault that he won't do it." She passed her hands through her curly hair. "What now?" I honestly have no idea.

Yemi Wilson

Today I went to Knight's Law Firm to see this Derek Knight. I was super nervous but this involves my babies. "Hello, how may I help you?" A woman looked at me and smiled. "I'm looking for Me. Derek Knight, he's expecting me." She checked her computer. "Name." I told her my name. "You can walk right in, he's there." Thanking her, I walked in.

"Uh, hello, Mr. Knight." He turned and my panties dropped. This man was dead ass gorgeous. "He- Nina? I thought you were sending your sister?" He looked at me confused. "Oh no, I am her sister, my name is Yemi Wilson." His eyes widened. "God blessed this earth with another beauty." Was he really flirting with me? "Uh, thank you." He directed me to sit down.

"So tell me about this divorce." He turned professional. "Well my soon to be ex husband and I were married for six years and we had twin girls who are five now. During the same time I gave birth to them, was the same time he and my ex best friend started having an affair. I was at the hospital with the girls because of some complications." I inhaled, trying not to cry. "What's your ex partner's name?" He started writing things down. "Bentley Jones, he's the owner of Elite, it's a couple minutes away from here." He nods. "Continue."

"I had insecurities about him leaving me for another woman but I just shoved them in the back of my mind. One night I heard him talking on the phone with her saying how he couldn't do it anymore and how he loved me and what not.  Then on my birthday I caught them having sex on the couch. Right there and then he asked for the divorce and the day after he brought all my clothes to my sister's. It where I've been staying for the few days." He simply nods. "What do you do for a living, Mr. Wilson?"

"I uh, I own a wedding store called Blackbird Boutique." He nods once more. "Do you love your children, Ms. Wilson." I knew I shouldn't be crying. "I love those girls with all my heart. I don't know what I'll do without them. They're keeping me sane right now." He handed me a tissue. "I'm sorry about that." I wiped my tears away. "I understand, Ms. Wilson, none of this is easy for anyone."

The questions went on and on until he stopped. "Thank you so much for helping me." He shook his head. "It's nothing. You have a good day." I waved before walking out the building. Maybe I have a shot at winning this after all.

Derek Knight

I looked at the woman that walked in. I thought she said it was her sister? When she said that she was her sister, her face started changing. She was beautiful, curves in all the right placed. Beautiful face, beautiful body, amazing smile. Just wow.  What idiot gave up that?

"Sir you have a call." My assistant spoke. I looked at her. "Put it on speaker and you talk." She simply nods, answering.

"Hello this is Knight's Law Firm, how may I help you." She spoke to the person. I already know who it was.

"Hello, I'm looking for someone to defend me for custody. I would like the best person you have." A man's voice blared through. My assistant, Krissy, looked at me for an answer. "Ask for his name." I whispered.

"I'm sorry but I need your name please."

"Right, my name is Bentley Jones, I own a restaurant. It's called Elite" She hums waiting for me to give her a response. I shook my head.

"Well unfortunately our best lawyer, Mr. Knight himself can't be yours." I smirked at her making her blush.

"What? Why not?" Somebody was getting angry. This was all quiet amusing for me.

"Well there is someone else who wants Mr. Knight as well." She told him.

"Whatever they paid, I'll pay higher." She then looked at me. Nina helped me in life and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her. I won't betray her for money. Again I shook my head.

"I'm sorry but Mr. Knight has made up his mind, if you wan-" Then the line went dead. He really has some issues.

"Good job, Krissy, guess who's getting a raise?" She grinned at me. "Thank you sir." I may own this company but I'm not a heartless bastard. I am when I have to be but people know when they've reached their limit with me.

I sat in my office that night and went over the case that I just received. I won't fail, Nina hasn't asked me for anything else but this and I was not about to fail her. Then my mind drifted to her sister. That woman was a beauty. I know she looks like Nina but I couldn't get her out of my mind. I took out my bun, letting my hair fall, this was going to be so easy.
