"MOM!"
I hurriedly opened the gate. She opened her arms and walked slowly towards me. Her gaze not leaving mine. Napansin kong namamaga ang mga mata niya. And she has dark circles. Tears started running down on her cheeks. She hugged me tightly. I hugged her back. Umiiyak na din ako. I missed her so much. After few seconds, she started talking.
"Sweety. I missed you so much.", she said while still cupping my face. "How are you?" She chuckled after saying those words. "Of course you're not okay. How silly your mother is."
I can't understand. First, tinawag niya akong sweety. Second, mother ko daw siya. Does that mean naniniwala siya sa akin?
"Mom,", I said. Finally! Nahanap ko na din ang boses ko. "Do you wanna come inside?"
She nodded. Pumasok kami sa bahay. Dinala ko siya sa sala at pinaupo. Tinitingnan lang niya yung buong paligid.
"Want something to eat?"
She shook her head.
"Drink?"
"A glass of water is fine."
So I brought her water. Naupo ako sa tabi niya.
"Whose place is this?"
"Sa kaibigan ko po. His name is Jeon."
"Jeon?."
"Ah, yeah. He's the one who saved me when I was unconscious. He said he found me at the forest."
She gasped. "You were unconscious??"
"Yes. Back then I was running, escaping my kidnappers but I was tripped and fell into the ground. Then my head bumped into the stone making me unconscious. Uhm, by the way, why are you here? Don't get me wrong. You know I'm so happy 'cause you're here but I thought hindi po kayo naniniwala sa akin.
She smiled. "Of course."
"Really?" I sensed hope. "Then, why...?"
