Chapter 7: Palace of the Knights

Keisha's POV

Tirik na ang araw sa itaas pero andito parin ako, nakaupo at walang ginagawa. Ramdam ko na rin ang tiyan kong kanina pa kumukulo. I let out a weighty sigh. I'm too hungry but at the same time I'm too lazy to even get up on here. Nakakatamad.

Isang kaluskos ang narinig ko. Agad akong napatayo at tumingintingin sa paligid. I gulp in nervousness as I realised na ako lang mag-isa dito. Bakit parang nasobrahan yata ang katangahan ko ngayong taon?

I looked around me as I searched for something I could use as a weapon. Pero mas lalo lang akong kinabahan. All I could see was green grass and roses.

Am I going to die now? Fine, not a problem.

Am I being too selfish about that? I sighed.

When I was ready to run for my dear life a small little boy showed up behind the bushes. He looked so innocent as he stared back at me. A sighed of relief escaped my lips. Akala ko kung ano na.

He stand still at his place, still looking at me with his cute innocent eyes. He's around 5 or 6 years of age based on his appearance. I took a step towards him and smiled.

"Hi!" Kumaway ako sakanya. Napakurap ito bago lumapit sa akin. Titig na titig ito sa akin na para bang kilala na niya ako dati pa.

"What are you doin--" I was cut mid-sentence when he suddenly embrace me tightly with his two little arms.  A warmth feeling spread all over my body as he embrace me tighter. I could feel my heart melting as I looked at the little boy who's still embracing me with his eyes shut closed. I don't know what to say but a smile crossed its way to my lips as I hugged him back as I crouched a little bit.

"Mama, you came back..."

I frowned. Bumitaw siya sa pagkakayakap sa akin at tiningala ako para tingnan ng diretso sa mata. Lumuhod ako sa harap niya para hindi na siya mahirapan sa katitingala sa akin.

"You are really here, Mama..." He whispered.

I'm so stunned and confused that I don't know what to say.

"Are you lost?" I asked, instead. He remained staring at me like I could vanish any second.

"Mama... Mama, I missed you," He then burst in tears. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang gagawin ko sakanya. Mahigpit ang hawak niya sa akin habang patuloy paring umiiyak. He kept calling me his mother. It felt like I shouldn't burst his bubbles. Kaya hinayaan ko nalang siya.

Minutes passed and I noticed he's already silent. Nakayakap siya sa akin at nakapikit. A smile crept on my lips. He looked so peaceful as he sleep. Mukhang napagod sa kakaiyak. Hinayaan ko siyang makatulog habang nakayakap sa akin. He looks so adorable. Napansin ko ring mahaba ang kanyang pilik-mata at matangos ang ilong. He looks so cute.

"Young Lady," Mr. Radcliffe materialised in front of me. His eyes automatically averted to the boy who's sleeping on my lap. Napabuntong-hininga ito.
