Harvey

"Hello?"
"Harv?"
"Poppy? What's up? Why are you calling my home phone I said-"
"Just for emergencies I know. Can you come pick me up. We need to talk."
"Urm...sure? Where are you?"
"I'm at home."
"Okay. I'm on my way."

Harvey hung up and I put my phone down next to me on the side. Suddenly, the door opened and then closed again.
"POPPY! We're home!"
"I'm here mum."

I stood up slowly and walked into the hall way as my mum dropped the bags she was holding and ran to hug me. "Aw we're missed you baby! How's school?"
"Schools fine. How was your trip?"
"It was great princess."
My dad playfully shoved me.
"Come on babe we have some gifts for you!"

"I'm leaving in a second."
"Why?"
"I'm going out with a friend. Harvey."
"Ooo is he good looking."
"Mum!"
There was a knock at the door.
"That's him. I'll see you later."
I kissed both my parents on the cheek before running out of the house and falling, literally (I stacked over the door frame) into Harvey's arms.

"Careful. Ahah you okay gorgeous?"
"I'm good thanks Harvey. Okay. So where'd you wanna go?"
"I don't know. Where do YOU wanna go?"
"Let's just go get food."
"This is why I love you!"
"Huh?!"
"What?"
"What did you just say Harvey?"
"This is why I love you?"
"You love me?"
"You didn't know that?! Wow I thought everyone did."
"Your taking the piss right now."
"No?"
"Get in the car Harvey."
He shrugged and walked over to the drivers side while I hopped in the passenger.

"Harvey."
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too."
"No Harvey I love you."
"Yeah? I love you too Poppy what's the big deal?!"
"Well if you love me why haven't you tried getting with me?? Why haven't you spoke to me?? Why would you let me do that!"
"Because your dating Jonah, Poppy!"
"What?! No I'm not!"
"He told me to stay away from you!"
"We've been making out in the school toilets for weeks Harvey I'm not a cheat!"
"Well then why- why has he been telling me to stay away from you. He told me you were his and I had to make you see that we were over and our friendship had to end."

"WHAT?! Okay never mind. Food after we're going to the why don't we house."
"Poppy no. You can't tell him I told you."
"Why?! Are you scared of him Harvey! Because you've done nothing wrong!"
"He's your bestfriend...I don't wanna lose you."

A small smile crept onto my face with blush filling my cheeks. I shook my head softly before looking up at Harvey. He looked over to me as he slowed the car down because of traffic.
"Harvey...you won't ever lose me."
He grinned brightly before leaning closer to me.
Following his actions he took a hold of my face with either hand and once again moved closer. I could smell the chewing gum that he had stopped chewing in order to do the task. I could feel the heat from his  cheeks as it radiates through his skin that would soon been upon mine. I had kissed Harvey many times but nothing was like this.

Suddenly, Harvey jumped in panic and pulled back as a car beeped from behind us. Harvey was now holding up the traffic. He rushed to start the car and began driving off.

"Poppy..."
I looked back up at him after hiding myself from the embarrassment. He was still looking directly at the road. No emotion on his face but it was as if I could smell the stress and frustration coming off of him.
"Yes Harv?"
"You're beautiful."
Taking me in surprise Harvey grabbed my hand. My face continued to heat up. Automatically, I pulled my hand away and hid my face.
"Poppy? Wha- don't hide your face."
He chuckled before turning to grin at me.

"Thank you Harvey."
He shot a grin at me before nodding and taking my hand in his again. He quickly kissed it as he turned back to the road.
