"Hey Poppy!"
"Ugh hey girls."
"what's up?"
"just can't be bothered for school. the drama's too much."
"hm maybe."
we all shot Gaby a look.
"maybe? no. Poppy's right Gabs. this is school is full of drama. constantly."
we all nodded, agreeing with Debby
"true true. anyway did you hear about Jonah?"
"oh what now?"
the girls stopped walking and gave me a dirty look.
"hey! don't look at me like that, i gave him a piece of my mind for fucking me over!"
"Poppy he's in love with you."
"if he loved me Daisy then he wouldn't want to hurt me and he'd let me be. he wouldn't lie to me or threaten People i care about."
"she has a point."
we smiled seeing Zach and he smiled back.
"hey Zachy."
"hi Harriet baby. come on." Zach's arm wrapped around Harriet's waist as they waved goodbye at us and we returned.

"urm Poppy. don't look now but isn't that Jonah...Jonah and Clara."
my head turned and i was faced with Jonah and Clara walking down the school hallways hand in hand looking directly at me. It annoyed me. of course it did. but they were looking at me so i simply shrugged and walked off, the girls following after me.

It was time for math. yet again... this would be fun knowing Jonah sits in front of me and Harvey sits beside me.

luckily clara wasn't in my class so they wouldn't start making out or anything. i knew jonah didn't like her and he was trying to annoy me. but it was working...

i sat down next to Harvey and he smiled at my brightly. His smile was some how contagious and just seeing him smile made me return it.
"Morning You."
"Hey Harvey."
"how have you been?"
"a mixture of everything. you?"
"yeah same i guess."

"okay everyone quiet!"
we all looked up at the teacher who just walked in.
"Poppy would you want to get food after school?"
"sounds good. where were you thinking about going?"
"i don't know maybe ed's diner or mirage. some where kinda of irrelevant to people at school..."
"yeah that would be nice. Meet me at the gate after school?"
Harvey nodded and took ahold of my hand, holding it in his.

i rested my head in his shoulder as miss put a documentary on about the history of algebra or something like that.

half way through the video my eyes were heavy and i felt myself drifting off to sleep. Suddenly, the door slammed and Jonah came in. i jumped in my seat, arising from laying in Harvey's shoulder and gave Jonah a dirty look. he done the same and sat down ignoring the teachers wish for him to explain why he was late.

"go back to sleep. looks like you need that beauty sleep."
"oi don't be rude to her!"
"and what Harvey? what are you gonna do about it?!"
"Jonah!! outside now!"
Harvey didn't get a chance to say anything else as miss had sent Jonah out.

i plainly swallowed air in fear and anxiety as millions of thoughts ran through my mind. i can't believe Jonah would actually say that to me. it wasn't a big deal but the fact Jonah said it changed everything. Jonah's the one who gave my confidence in the first place and now he was taking that away from me. i gave up stressing out and went back to sleep on top of Harvey.
