Emily's POV

Arriving in Vancouver wasn't hard, our parents had combined money together and bought us a stay at the local hotel for a night. We weren't staying long there since we've both been here before.

The hotel was by the water, the Columbia river to be exact, and have a great view. We each carried a small bag with things we needed into the hotel, locking the van as we entered the building. When you walked in you walked through a large walkway with a chandelier hanging above us. We followed the green carpet up to the counter where the lady greeted us with a warm smile.

"Hi um I think reservations are under Yoder?" I said with a smile while the lady clicked through the computer for our reservation.

"I can't seem to find it...do you have another name it be under?"

"Try Saunders," Allie spoke up joining me.

"Oh yes very sorry for that, it's under as Yoder and Saunders. Here's your keys you're on floor three, room 235." We thanked her heading for the elevators to take us up to the room. Allie and I discussed how beautiful this hotel was also how the view was.

I'm sure we could have made it to Portland within maybe two more hours but it was already eight o'clock at night an our parents didn't want us out late driving until we got used to the long trip.

We made it to floor three heading down to room 235. I clicked one of keys into the door throwing it open to reveal a simple room with two beds, a bathroom and a mini fridge with a microwave. The mini fridge of course was empty which was typical since this wasn't one of the pent house suits.

"Well it's nothing fancy but hey there's a balcony which means awesome view!" I squealed, dropping my bag running towards the drapes that covered the entrance the balcony. I pulled them back revealing a door which I opened up also. Stepping outside I was hit with the smell of fresh air, fresh water, and a lovely flower smell.

"Allie come look at this view!" The excitement was rising in the voice when she joined me outside. We both stared in awe before sitting on the chairs that were provided.

"Wow, hey now we can watch the sunrise!" Allie said with excitement in her voice also.

I nodded in agreement staring out into the horizon. We watched the sunrise full of many different colors of red, yellow, orange, and blue. I always hear that the West Coast has the best sunsets and sunrises but I have to agree with what they say. I've never been to the East Coast so I have no clue.

Once the sun was done setting I got up heading inside to get ready for bed.

"I think I'm gonna hit the hay a bit early," I said, a yawn escaped my lips.

"Alright, I think I'm going to stay out here for awhile," Allie said with a smile turning to face me. "Goodnight."

I gave her a salute which made us both laugh before I went to strip off my clothes changing into my pajamas quickly. I hopped into the bed pulling the covers up close to me turning the TV on to watch whatever I could find.

I was waken up by someone jumping up and down on my bed singing god knows what.

"IT'S TIME TO AWAKE WE GOTTA GO TO L.A...well not yet but you catch my drift," I rolled over covering my head with the pillow annoyed by Allie's attempt to wake me. "WAKE UP IT IS NOON." I threw my pillow at her before sitting up rubbing my eyes.

"I promise you next time you sleep in I'm going to get you back," I smirked getting up out of the bed, stretching.

"You have me shaking in my boots," She laughed sitting down on her own bed.

"Oh ha ha, what time do we have to be out of here?"

"Pretty sure she said one, and if it's twelve now we only have an hour so better start packing." We didn't have anything to pack really, just to tidy up our clothes and pick up our stuff we left in the bathroom. Allie was already dressed and was ready to go, unlike me who had to rush around to get dressed. Throwing on a pair of high waisted shorts with a team inspire shirt before fixing up my hair to look presentable with a touch of makeup here and there I was set. We grabbed our bags racing down the hall to the elevator like children to see who would click the 'down' button first. I ended up winning making me cheer with a laugh.

Once we reached the lobby we followed the green carpet once again out the doors to the van. It was slightly hot out but not too bad which was good since once we got to Portland we would be spending the day outside. I took the keys and entered the drivers side since it was my turn to drive, throwing our bags into the back making one sliced sandwiches. Once I finished my we hit the road off to Portland, Oregon.
