Emily's POV
A date with Wesley Stromberg has always been my dream. And it involved ice cream? Even better! The whole time with him my heart was beating out of my chest. I have no clue how I was able to even keep my cool around him.
We sat at the table, each with our ice cream. Me with a chocolate shake and him with a buttercream blizzard. We were off to a good start, chit chatting about small things before going into huge questions.
"So I know you know a lot about me, but I don't about you, so what's your name?" He asked.
"Emily Yoder," I smiled, taking a sip of my shake.
"Middle name?"
"Is that really important?"
"I guess not, alright Emily, why did you come to L.A out of all places?"
I pondered over the question, it was simple; "Because of collage you know, going to UCLA soon so we figured it be easier to just stay here,"
I saw a slight smile form on his lips, "Where are you originally from?"
"Seattle, Washington." I smiled, as he kept asking me questions and I kept giving him answers.
A few of the questions were easy, some I had to think over like why I wanted to go to collage here and not somewhere near home. It seemed like hours passed, and they were. The sun was already setting and our ice cream was gone. We sat and talked for almost three hours before realizing we better head back.
As we were heading back to my Aunts, he kept asking me simple questions like what my favorite colors was until one stumbled me over.
"Is collage the real reason you stayed in L.A?" Wes asked, I turned to look at him before looking away, continuing to walk.
"Sort of yeah, we both also realized there's no way we were going to make it to all fifty states, we were dead beat on the second day into the trip." He laughed slightly, causing me to smile. Maybe the real reason was that I'd run into them, or fall in love, something I've read in the books and long wanted.
"This is the house right?" Wesley said breaking me from my train of thought. I nodded walking up to the front door and stepping inside. I walked into the living room pretty much covered in blankets lying around on the floor. Looking up, I saw Allie sitting in one of the chairs and Keaton in the other, a crossed the room. They were both sitting on their laptops, not even bothering to great us.
"What the heck happened?" I asked, stepping more inside before being hushed by Allie as she clicked away on the computer. I stood silent, with Wesley standing beside me until a bell went off, breaking the silence.
"Hi sorry we were having a reblog competition," Allie said, sitting her laptop aside smiling.
"A what?"
"You know on tumblr?" I nodded my head. Of course it was tumblr, how could I possible forget tumblr?
"And the blankets?" I started to pick up blankets after blankets, uneasy about the living room being messy.
"I would have picked them up you know," She said, getting up to help me. Wesley joined his brother, talking about who knows what. As I was picking up the blankets, a hand grabbed my arm dragging me back to my bed room before the door shut.
A squeal erupted into the room from Allie, she jumped up and down with excitement pretty much breathless.
"Oh my god Emily, remember that note I got back in Oregon?" I though for a second, remembering the note from the boy she stared at while we were eating dinner. I nodded.
"That wasn't just some boy, it was Keaton!" A smile grew onto her face.
"No way," I was astonished at the fact that it was him. Also that I didn't recognize him.
"But do tell, how was your date with Wesley?" She asked, nudging me.
"Freaking amazing! I think we really hit it off plus he's great," The heat rose in my cheeks as I smiled, remembering the hours we talked.
"Well duh of course he is, do I see a relationship in your future?" We laughed, heading back out the bed room door to where the boys were.
"I sure do hope." Entering the living room looked so much better than when I first did, with the blankets all over the ground, instead the were left in a pile on our bedroom floor. I still didn't understand what the blankets were doing out but I didn't get to ask her.
"Emily, did you get my s'mores Ice cream?" Allie asked, taking a seat on the couch. I joined beside her and sighed.
"Dang it no sorry I forgot,"
"She was too busy flirting with Wesley," Keaton spoke up, I laughed a little.
"Maybe she was, but you we're too busy on tumblr to know what that's like," Wesley said back, making us all laugh.
"Hey Allie, can I have your number? I've seemed to have lost mine," Keaton said, looking towards Allie. I smiled and laughed at the cheesy pick-up line he used.
"Did you reblog pick up lines or something the whole time?" Allie laughed and I smiled once more, looking at Wesley who was also smiling. I loved how we all talked to one another like we've known each other for years, and not like we were just fans who got lucky. I could see something growing between us all It was quite sad knowing Drew wasn't here to enjoy this with us, but next time he'll definitely be here, as what I was told by Wesley.
