Emily's POV
"Red, white, blues in the sky, summers in the air and baby heavens in your eyes!" Allie sang as she came dancing into the kitchen where I was, making myself some lunch, or my missed breakfast.
"Someone went all out for today," I gave a smile. It was Fourth of July and from what she's told me, it's one of her favorite holidays.
"I didn't really think it was much, it's just a red summer dress and football red and blue lines on my face." She skipped off again to go do god knows what, probably to finish getting ready.
A couple days ago Wesley and I had came up with a plan to get her and Keaton together, both of them being shy and not wanting to tell one another how they felt, action had to be taken. So I shut Allie in the closet and once Wesley brought Keaton over we did the same to them and it actually worked!
Well no they're not together, together, sadly- and neither is Wesley and I. Tonight though they're taking us out to this Fourth of July party on the beach that happens every year at Santa Monica. I was honestly so excited but then again scared, it was our first time actually going out into public but they said last year when they went only a few fans bothered them, so I shouldn't worry.
But that was a year ago.
"Okay Emily," I said to myself. "everything will be okay tonight nothing will happen.""Are you talking to yourself again?" Allie asked, reappearing like she was never gone. "Oh and you also burnt your toast?"
"Oh shoot!" I scrambled to get the toast out of the toaster and sighed as I pulled out a dark piece of toast burnt to a crisp.
"You get lost in your thoughts too much," she flashed a smile at me and took the toast throwing it away. "just make a a sandwich."
"Aren't you scared about tonight?" I blurted out, not meaning to ask so quickly hoping it would have turned out to sound more nonchalantly.
"Well, I guess so, why?" I could see the worried look on her face, her knowing how I felt around large crowds of people who could swarmed someone quickly made me feel a bit better. Having a friend who knows you by the tone or your voice or the look in your eyes is amazing.
"What about you know..the fans?" I whispered 'fans' as if they could appear out of know where and snap millions of pictures of me.
"I know it's going to be hard for you but just pose for the picture as if you got nothing to lose," she strikes a random pose maintaining a serious face. "oh and also, pun intended on that."
I gave a short laugh smiling at her, always cracking a joke at the most important times. "It's a good thing I have you around."
"Just remember to invite me to the wedding." We both laughed an continued to be busy, cooking lunch or getting ready. A few hours passed before we finished getting ready for the occasion. I wasn't very good at getting into the Fourth of July spirit but I had help from Allie, helping me choose an outfit of white high waisted shorts and a blue tank top that had a flow to it with our swimsuits underneath our swimsuits. I also had the 'football' look going as Allie had called it, with red and blue strips on my face, I was ready to go pop some fireworks.
"Are you really not scared?" I asked Allie once again, both of us were sitting on the couch waiting for the boys to come get us. Their kind gesture of 'let us pick you up like the boy should' way.
"I mean, yeah I guess I am, but you shouldn't be-"
"I know I shouldn't be scared but what if he tries to kiss me!"
"I thought you did kiss?" She turned towards me with wide eyes and a shocked face.
"No, my aunt opened the front door before anything could happen!" I let out a sigh and let my head fall back onto the couch.
