All of us were standing in the living room staring at a complete stranger. He was smirking and standing a bit to close to my girl. The look on her face was pure fear. That's when it finally hit me. This guy was Erik.

"So, lets play game," Erik said.

Tony glared at him, "What kind of game?"

"I'm going to hold a knife up to Scarlett's pretty throat and whoever takes a step towards her, dies," he spat, yanking Scar towards him.

"What do you want from us?" Clint asked.

"I want her," he answered.

We all looked at Scarlett. She was looking at the ground, wiping at her face. Erik grabbed her hair, pulled her into him, and pressed the knife right above her throat.

"Stop!"

"Or what?"

My eyes went to Scarlett, "Take me, instead,"

"Steve no!" Scar yelled at me.

"I don't want you! I want her!" Erik screamed and pointed a gun at me.

"You can't-"

"I'll go!"

My heart sunk. She was really thinking about going with him. She was trying to save us from some psychopath, but that was suppose to be my job. I was suppose to save her.

Wanda grabbed onto Clint's arm, "Scarlett, don't do this! You're my best friend!"

"I have to. I need to keep you guys safe," she said, looking at Erik.

"We can be safe with you here!" Thor piped in.

"We can't lose you, Kiddo," Clint spoke, a tear slipping from his eye.

Scarlett placed a hand on Erik's face, "I'll pack and then we can go. Okay?"

"Okay." He smiled down at her, pressing a kiss to her nose.

Erik let Scarlett go and she walked into our room. I snuck past him, walking in there to see her packing up her things. I can't believe she we actually going to leave her friends, her new family, and me.

"Baby," I said and she turned around to look at me, tears falling down her face.

"Steve," she cried.

"Don't go. Please don't go. We can protect you and keep him away from you,"

"It's not that simple. He's a maniac, Steve. He won't stop until he gets what he wants,"

I grabbed her face in my hands, "I love you. I love you so damn much and I can't lose you,"

"You won't," she whispered.

"How do you know that?" I asked.

"Because I have you to come back to." She pressed her lips to mine, running her hands through my hair. I uncapped her face and gripped her hips in my hands.

"Babe! Let's go!" Erik yelled from outside the door.

Scarlett grabbed her bags, "I love you, Steve. I'll come back to you. I promise,"

"Text me and tell me where you are,"

"I will,"

monday, 6:47 p.m.

It's been a week. A fucking week since I last heard from Scarlett. She told me that she would text me to tell me where she is, but she never did. She promised that she would come back to me and I really hope she keeps it.

I leaned my head against the headboard, looking over at her side of the bed. I really miss having her next me. I just miss her in general. She's my everything.

"This isn't healthy,"

I glanced up to see Wanda, "I'm worried,"

"Yeah, no shit. We're all worried about her. She's our family," she said.

"Have you heard from her?" I asked, sitting up.

"No. No, I haven't," she whispered.

"I just want her to come back to us,"

Wanda smiled sadly, "Me too,"

"Oh, she will"

Wanda and I turned our heads to see some girl standing in the doorway. She had short blondish-brown hair, a nose piercing, and a choker around her neck. She was wearing black jeans with a red shirt.

"Who are you?" Wanda asked.

The girl smirked, "The best friend,"
