I pulled up to David's house in my Uber, literally all my wages were being spent on Uber's, learning to drive was a must when I got back home.

He'd left the front gate open, stupidly, so I let myself walk into his property. I knocked on the door a few times when Natalie, David's assistant, came to answer it.

The petit brunette opened the door with a smile, but sported a hangover much like David's.

I shook my head in disbelief, "he can't even open the door?" I asked her.

She rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders. "He's in his bed." She grabbed her keys off the table in hall. "I'm going home before he asks me to do anything else" she laughed, half being serious.

I walked further into the house in order for Natalie to be able to get past.

We said our goodbyes and I made my way to David's bedroom.

I lightly tapped on the floor and left it a second or two before entering, just in case barging in was rude. I popped my head around the door and there he was, sitting in his bed looking worse for wear but still had a massive smile.

"You look...fucked" I laughed walking towards the bed. David put his middle finger up at me and pulled a stern face jokingly.

"You're meant to be supporting me through this hard time!"

I rolled my eyes and put my bag on the floor and sat on the end of his bed by his feet. David raised one eyebrow and didn't break eye contact, making me feel very on edge.

"What?" I asked, wondering why he was being weird.

"That?" David pointed at me, I think he was confused at my choice of seating arrangement. "Are you just gonna sit there all day?"

I shuffled further back on to the bed sarcastically. "No, I might sit here actually"

David sat up and grabbed both my arms, pulling me to lie on him. I started laughing and propped myself up with my hands so I was looking down at him.

"You're a pain" I giggled, rolling over to lie next to him.

David smiled and went to put his arm around me, causing me to lift my head up so his arm could go under. He rested his hand on my shoulder and I nuzzled my head into his neck.

He kissed to top of my head causing me to smile.

"I missed you." He told me, kissing my head again. "How have you been? Your work seems to be really kicking off huh?"

It was always weird to me when people acknowledged my work. Obviously from going to hardly anyone knowing who I was, to thousands in such a short space of time was insane but you never really think about other people thinking about you, if that makes sense?

"It's going amazingly. I love it so much and I can't believe people are finally noticing me."

David turned to look at me, pulling away so he could make eye contact. "That sounds like it has a 'but' coming"

"But," I sighed, "as much as I love being here and working here it's not permanent. My main following is from people out here, and your fans" I giggled. "Don't get me wrong, i know I'll get jobs back home, there just won't be as many high profile ones as there are here. I don't want to sound like I just want fame, because it's not like that at all. All I've dreamed of since I was young was being a makeup artist to celebrities and really being able to showcase my talent. I can't really get that from doing a few birthday looks and magazine editorials at home"

David took a few seconds to process what I was saying so I turned and looked up at the ceiling to wait for his response.

"So move?" He shrugged.

I whipped my head back round to look at him with a confused expression.

"I can't just move" I laughed.

"Why? If you're happier here, which you are, then move."

I rolled my eyes at David's silly suggestion. "I'm not having this conversation."

I laid my head back down on David's shoulder and he carried on playing the film. To be fair, his idea wasn't that bad and I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought about it before. It just seemed like a lot in the space of such little time.
