It was around 3pm in the afternoon and it had been 2 days since the incident with Ellie and David.

I was about to get into an Uber that would take me to David's house in order for me to finally be able to talk to him about what happened.

From what I'd been told by Heath and Zane when they came over the previous evening, Ellie had gone back to London and David had stayed in sulking unless he'd needed to go out and film for his vlog. I'd spent the days watching Netflix in bed and eating my weight in junk food.

Zane and Heath popped over yesterday evening to check I was okay, which was nice. They told me that I should speak to David and he was really cut up about the whole thing. I knew I should talk to him, but I was embarrassed. I felt like I went to level 100 real quick, (real fucking quick) and I was a thousand percent in the wrong for bringing up Liza.

Nonetheless, I decided today would be the day that I went to his house and apologised and sorted everything out. I'd been ignoring his messages and calls so I thought the most I could do was go to his house and actually talk to him face to face.

If I said I wasn't nervous, I'd be lying. My stomach was doing backflips and my hands were shaking erratically.

I got into the Uber and prayed that everything would go smoothly. I couldn't bare if it all went wrong.

On the way there, I let my mind wander to all different things. My usual thought of what I might eat for dinner, what my schedule was next week, things like that. I couldn't wait to get back to work. I felt like having all this time off was enabling me to overthink everything and let my brain become my enemy as opposed to my friend. I needed routine back in my life.

"Here we are." The Uber driver spoke, pulling me out of my daydream and back to reality.

I thanked him and got out of the car. I looked around the familiar street and immediately thought about turning around and going back.

With the driver watching me, presumably to make sure I got in safely, I made my way through the gates (which were never locked stupidly) and to the front door. I noticed on the way in that there was an unfamiliar looking car on the drive, but it didn't ring any alarm bells because there was always different cars going in and out of David's house.

After what seemed like a hike, I finally arrived at the front door. I gave it a light tap and stood back in anticipation of what my arrival may result in.

I heard someone start to unlock the door, when I was greeted by Natalie. She beamed a wide smile and pulled me in for a hug.

"Holly!" She exclaimed, pulling away from the hug and resting her hands on my shoulders. "I'm so happy to see you!"

"Me too!" I giggled. "I really need to talk to David, is he in?"

Natalie bit her lip awkwardly. "He's popped out, I can message you when he's back and you can come over then?"

I knew I should've messaged him first. I just wanted it to be a surprise.

"No no," I shook my head. "I'll come and wait inside. Gives us a chance to catch up anyway"

Natalie shrugged and stepped out of the way so I could move into the house. She shut the door behind me and followed me into the living room. I took a seat on the sofa and waited for her to come and sit with me.

"How's he been?" I asked, looking down at the fur rug.

Natalie sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Not great. He feels really bad about the whole thing, y'know. He really didn't do anything Holly. You know what he's like. He's too nice. He couldn't hurt a fly."

I avoided eye contact with Natalie and crossed my legs, picking at my nails uncomfortably.

"I just panicked. I was drunk. I know I should have listened but it was just weird for me to see. If I'm honest, I've been avoiding talking to him because I'm embarrassed about the way I handled this whole thing."

Natalie's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Embarrassed?" She questioned. "There's no reason for you to be embarrassed."

I shrugged and moved deeper down in to the sofa. If I couldn't talk about it with Natalie, how on earth was I meant to speak to David about it.

With that thought, the front door unlocked. Natalie started to look uncomfortable and went on her phone. I heard footsteps make their way down the hall, but not just one pair...two.

"Hey Natalie, we got your foo-" David stopped as soon as he saw me.

"Woah there's people walking here!" A girl laughed, almost bumping in to me. She took a step around David to see what stopped him in his tracks. It was Liza.

My face dropped in shock.

"Holly what are you doing here?" He asked, placing the Taco Bell bags down on the hallway table.

"It doesn't matter anymore." I smiled, standing up and putting my phone in my back pocket. I was really trying to stay calm, otherwise I would've murdered someone.

Why wouldn't Natalie just tell me she was here? This whole thing could've been avoided.

"I think it's best if I go" i said, starting to make my way out of the living room.

"No please don't!" David half yelled.

"I know this looks bad." Liza said calmly. "It's not. I promise. I told Dave I needed to talk to him, because I've found someone else. He told me he had too. So we met up and spoke and we were just getting food before I went to Charlie's."

I started playing with my fingers, embarrassed that I'd jumped to the conclusion that David would do something like that. But I still felt some what threatened by Liza. I mean, everyone loved and still loved their relationship. She was a beautiful girl and I felt like I could never live up to her.

"Please stay Holly" David practically begged, walking over to where I was standing.

I nodded silently and give Liza a small smile. David pulled me in for a hug and I hugged back tightly, nuzzling my face into his neck.

"I'm sorry" he whispered into my ear.

"Me too."
