Shawn and I finish our dinner without any more interruptions from paparazzi. Surprisingly as well, there are no fans around. And that's surprising because in my past experience, photos are taken, and fans start coming as soon as they see the picture.

We make our way to the elevator, going back down to the floor where Sidney and Andrew are. We're supposed to be heading to our hotel soon, I think. I'm not too sure what is going on.

Shawn knocks on the door, reaching in his phone to text Andrew. Sidney is the one who opens it, though, smiling a little when he sees us.

"How was dinner?"

"Good," I reply. "What else is on the agenda for us?"

He pauses, glancing back in the room. Andrew appears a second later with more information.

We're free to go to our hotel room, thankfully. Andrew tells us they're still dealing with some things, so Shawn and I are supposed to go ahead and go with his security guard.

Regardless, I'm happy to be getting some rest. Today has been a long day.

"Can I ask a random question?"

He always asks if he can ask something, and frankly, I'm finding it kind of adorable. "Shoot."

"Have you heard any of my music?"

"Don't hate me," I chuckle, waiting as he presses the elevator button. "I haven't."

His eyes widen. "Really?" I nod. "No I'm not upset, I'm—I'm excited. Can you listen to something later?"

"Like a new song?"

"Yeah."

He looks genuinely excited. It's adorable. "Sure," I smile. "I'll do that."

"Cool," he grins, stepping into the elevator with me, reaching over to press the ground floor button. "It'll be cool to see what you think. You won't be biased."

I might be a little biased. "What kind of music do you make?"

"I think I'm in the pop category," he nods. He crosses his arms over his chest – well, not really, he kind of hugs himself which is even more adorable – and turns his head to look at me. "But I like to think I'm a mix of everything."

"Interesting," I nod. "I'm excited then. I listen to just about everything anyway."

"Me too! I'll listen to like Justin Timberlake in the morning and then switch to John Mayer in the car, then to Top 40 Hits on the way home..."

"I'm the same way, wow," I chuckle. "But I'll listen to like Taylor Swift's old and new music and then switch to One Direction and then go to Kaleo," I shake my head. "It's a lot."

"I played with Taylor a few years ago!"

"The 1989 tour, right?"

He smiles, nodding. "Did you go?"

"Oh, no," I laugh. "But I've been a fan of hers since I was a kid so I follow the tours online."

"I'll take you to see her one day."

I don't know that I'll be around that long, but he looks so sincere that I can't bring myself to remind him of the fact. "You are something else."

The elevator doors open, and we're met with Shawn's security standing right outside.

And screaming?

I glance around the guard, seeing, sure enough, a crowd of fans outside. Without thinking, I reach for Shawn, grabbing the sleeve of his jacket. He, thankfully, leans down toward me so he can hear me better.
