Shawn and I are in John F. Kennedy airport in New York when I'm finally able to answer Kate's insistent calls that I missed because we were in the air. When she answers, her voice has a strange mix of panic and excitement to it.

"Where are you right now?" She blurts, without even saying hello.

"Uh, watching Shawn take pictures with fans," I chuckle, not even bothering to address her suddenness. "Are you okay?"

"Can you be in New York tomorrow?"

I smirk. "Funnily enough, I'm there right now."

"You're kidding!"

"Nope," I shake my head. "Shawn's here to do some promo with Spotify, and then the Met Gala is Monday. So we'll be here for a few days. I'm in the airport right now, we just landed," I pause, turning to the side when I see some fans trying to catch my eye. I'd love to talk to them right now, but I had six missed calls from Kate by the time we landed, so I figured this was at least somewhat important. I make sure to smile and wave to them, of course, but also make it clear that I'm on an important phone call, which they respect because they're angels. "Why?"

"Andrew wants to meet you."

I swear, everything else stops. "Andrew...as in the director Andrew?"

"Yes!" She nearly screams, almost as if to say who else would it be?! "I'm flying in tonight, but he wants everyone to have dinner together tomorrow to discuss the film."

Everyone? "Uh, okay, I mean—"

"I can pick you up and we can go together," she adds, obviously trying to reassure me. "I know the restaurant, and I'm sure if I ask him for a driver, he'll get us there no problem."

"Okay," I breathe, furrowing my eyebrows. "But do you mean everyone as in the rest of the cast?"

"Yeah!"

"But, sis, I'm not even part of the cast. I've only ever emailed with him and had one short phone call."

"I've told him a lot about you."

"That doesn't make me feel better," I mutter, resting my hand on top of Shawn's guitar case – well, box. It has three guitars in it.

"He wants you to have the part," Kate says, softer now. "I know you won't believe it until he confirms it, so I'll stop talking, but just from what I've told him about you, he really can't wait to meet you in person and discuss the role."

"And I can't wait as well," I reply, thinking maybe if I say that out loud it'll help my nerves. And it does, kind of. But none of this is adding up in my brain right now.

"Okay, I'll text you when I land later and give you the rest of the details and then I'll see you tomorrow."

"You know you're going to have to help me figure out what to wear, right?"

"I know. I'll help."

"Thanks. See you later."

"See you!"

I shake my head as I end the call, staring at the screen to see the call history saying that Kate and I did indeed just talk for ten minutes. We did just have that phone call. It wasn't a dream. The evidence is right there.

I blink, thinking it'll disappear, but it doesn't, so I shove my phone in my pocket and look up to find Shawn. He's still making his way through some fans, and I wave to a couple now that I'm off the call. I'm still guarding our stuff, though, so I can't exactly walk over.

Shawn surprises me then, walking back toward me. I give him a strange look, trying to ignore the fact that all the fans behind him have their phones raised, no doubt taking pictures of us.
