Friend Zone (Ross Lynch/R5 fanfic)

Chapter 12

I think we all looked great Rydel was in classic dress up she was in a black sparkly tutu with a black and white stripped shirt that was cropped at the belly button. Ashley was in a soft pink soft pink dress that was a sparkly top and pink heels. My dress was a soft pink with black trim, clear rhinestones were in the sweetheart of the dress and I had silver sparkly heels. Rydel, Ashley and I walked down the stairs and I greeted my parents with a small smile. I hugged Jermey and walked out side. Everyone was in one limo. Yay. (Note the sarcasm dripping from my mouth.) I made a huge smile when I saw Riker in his get up grey skinny jeans with a purple polo, grey tie, and his black leather jacket. I walked up to him.

"Hey Kay." I grabbed his tie.

"Are you the one who put this on?" I looked at the crooked thing. He laughed.

"I was in a rush..I was uh nervous." I started to undo the tie and fix it. 

"There you go rushy." he just laughed and brought me in his arms. I looked around and noticed everyone was in the car. "I think they are waiting on us." I giggled. Riker helped me into the limbo. I saw two open seats by Rydel and Ellington and were across from Ross and Andrea. Oh the joy. Riker sat next to me and wrapped his arm around my waist. I laid my head between his shoulder and crook of his neck. I felt a buzz I pulled out my phone out of my, I looked down at the text.

From: Stitch:*

What is going on between you too? 

It buzzed again and I noticed it was group discussion between Riker, Ashley, Rocky, Ellington, Ryland, and Rydel. Riker looked at me confused. I brought the phone to his face. All seven of us made eye contact. "We are serious." Ryland finally came out.

I rolled my eyes."Thanks Ry, for making that clear." Riker just told me to ignore them. I nodded and looked up at him, he then did the unexpected and poked my nose. I scrunched it up. Ignoring Ross and Andrea was way harder then I wanted. Andrea coughed 'slut'. Ross did NOTHING so much for being my "best friend." Riker kept giving Ross looks so did everyone else. Including his mom and dad.  

We had finally reached the awards and everyone stepped out of the limo Riker and I were last. He put his arm on the small of my back, he bent down and whispered in my ear. "Just smile, and look happy." I put on my I-am-not-in-a-good-mood-but-Riker-will-fall-for-this smile on. "Very good." Told you. I continued to pull the fake smile, when the question came up of Ross and I. I froze completely. It looked like Ross had got the same question, cause he looked over at me. I nodded polietly then turned. 

"They were just rumors." I stated. "Ross and I are just really good friends." Riker and I walked away.

"Damn after that stuff he pulled I thought you would have his head on wooden spit." I curled my lips. 

"Oh trust me I do, but not like that. I won't ruin his carreer he meant more than that too me." He kissed the side of my head. I gave a small smile.

"I know." he said. As awards were given out Ross had got a couple of course I stood up and clapped. I starred over at Riker who got called up for glee. I hugged him tight before he ran up there. He stood by the micerphone.

"I want too thank a few people for making this possible for me. First I wanna thank my family without them I wouldn't have be her following my dreams and chasing them, second I wanna thank you guys my fans I love you all so much for all your love and support you guys got me here on this stage. Then there is Kayla my best friend who I love so much she is my biggest fan, she pushes me to be better, and I do better. Thank you KayJay." I started to cry a little.  I quickly wiped the little tear off my  cheek as he came. He sat next to me.  I hugged him.

"That was beautiful." He kissed the side of my head.

When the show was over we all left and once we got to the Lynch's place I changed into some leggings and a hoodie and threw my hair in a bun and walked to Riker's room. We had decided to watch some Frozen, so we laid in his bed watching disney movies and eating junk food. A few hours later we were just sitting on his floor listening to The 1975. "So is there a girl you are looking at now?" I asked popping another cheeto in my mouth. He looked over at me, looking up and down.

"Yeah there is someone." He smiled.

"Awe Rikey! Who is it?" He just smiled and looked down.

"You know he really well." he stated.

"Okay so it's not Rydel, that would be gross. Uhm Ashley or Jess? Jess right?" he shook his head.

"Nope it's none of them." I stared.

"Your stubborn!" he just lightly chukled. He moved closer to me and reached his hand to my cheek brushing the piece I had in my face, I looked down. I could feel my face go to a deep tomato. I looked back into his brown eyes, searcing for something. Next thing I know we were both leaning into each others faces, when my lips hit his. It automatically felt weird. Then next thing I know Riker and I both start laughing.

"Well I guess I was wrong." I laughed.

"Hey I am flattered you thought I was something more. Honestly. I did too." I laughed along.

"You are just too much like my sister." I nodded.

"No kidding." Next thing Riker and I hear is Rydel scream and a loud thud. We both jump up and see Andrea by the stairs with arms crossed and Rydel down the stairs. 

"Rydel!" Riker yelled, I turned to Andrea.

"What the hell did you do!" I shouted.

"She should have stayed out of mine and Ross' buisness!" Ross than ran out with sleep hair and his pajama pants. The ones I got him for his birthday last year. Why I got them. He is obsessed with Romeo and Juliet. So I got him Romeo and Juliet pj pants don't judge.

"What the hell happend?" he asked grogally.

"Ask your psyco girlfriend." I stated. "She seems to think because Delly cares about you, she can push her down the stairs" I looked over at him. Andrea gave me a dirty look.

"Now why would I do that?" she said calmly. "How do we know that you didn't do it." Riker was coming up with Rydel when Andrea had said that.

"For one we all know it wasn't Kayla. She was in the room with me watching movies and listening to music." Riker stated.

"Second Kayla is my best friend." Rydel added. Andrea rolled her eyes.

"Yeah sure blame the girlfriend." she walked in Ross' room. I turned to him then spoke.

"Okay stop being a dick weed. You are being a real jerk." I stated. "Okay screw the fact that she messed with me, she hurt your sister." I looked at Riker, who had just got back from laying Rydel in her room. "I would suggest if you are gonna stay with Andrea you keep her locked up in a cage." I turned and grabed Riker's hand.

"Kayla." I stopped. "Can I talk to you alone?" I looked at Riker who gave me the look Are-you-sure was written all over his face I nodded. 

"Fine. Five minutes" I walked past him, then walked down the stairs and sat on the couch in the living room. 

"Please. Please don't shut me out Kayla." Ross said sitting beside me.

"When you can learn to be a man, then I will let you back into my life." I said laying my head back on the arm of the chair. He moved closer to me.

"I'm gonna break up with her. Tonight." he stated.

"So you are dating her." I scuffed. "You know like not even a day ago you were telling me you love me, next thing I know I have her rubbing in my face that she has you. Ross do you realize the pain you put me through? I spent the day crying to Riker. Ryland had to calm me down and on top of everything else I will be miles away from my best friends." I cried out.

"But Kay-" I cut him off.

"Stop. I love you I always will, but its too late I am moving to Macy Virginia with my parents." I stood up and kissed his cheek.
