Chapter 38

Zayn

On Wednesday I woke up with a massive hangover. I tried to recall what had happened last night, but nothing came to my mind. I rolled to my side when the light of the sun started to bother my eyes and felt someone beside me. I opened my eyes and found Auris sleeping calmly beside me. Her breaths were steady and deep, her face blank and peaceful. I smiled and hugged her.

-How long have you been awake? –her hoarse voice sounded stifled so I took my arm away

-Couple minutes –she frowned and opened her eyes

-Hey –she smiled and cuddled up to me

-Morning beautiful how was your night?

-It would have been better if your snores didn’t wake me up every 5 minutes –she laughed and I looked at her

-I don’t snore

-After all you drank last night, you did snore –I thought about the night before a bit more and looked at her

-What exactly happened last night?

-That was a crazy night, don’t you remember a single thing? –I shook my head  -well yeah you were drunk after 10 minutes. You were the last one though, Harry and Louis were drunk after 2 minutes. Never seen someone drink as much as you guys do. Liam and Niall stayed sober

-Liam can’t drink, Niall well he doesn’t drink much

-Yeah I noticed that myself

-Did you drink?

-Yeah but when I started to feel dizzy I stopped

-Why? I thought you wanted to get drunk –she looked away and say nothing. Then it clicked in, the last time I had been drunk things ended up not so good, could it be she was scared?

-I wanted to stay sober enough to laugh about you

-How lovely –she smiled again and rolled out of bed –aren’t you hungry? –I nodded and followed her out of the room to the kitchen where we ate cereal with chocolate. Half an hour later Liam and Cris joined in

-How is your hangover Zayn? –Liam asked

-How’s Cris’? –he asked back making Cris look at him and smiled

-I was not that drunk –Auris coughed and kept on eating her cereal

-Are you up for a nice, quiet, calm pool day? –Liam proposed as he served himself with some chocolate and cereal in his usual two different bowls

-Yeah I want a nice tan –Auris said grinning

-Who’s making lunch then? –Niall asked once we were all settled at the border of the pool

-You, for a change? –Harry said

-I don’t cook, I eat

-I will then –Liam said raising his hand

It was already noon so Liam went to the kitchen to make lunch for us. When he was done we ate joyfully and then sat around the pool and talked. Time went by really fast when you are having a good time, really. Without advice it was already 1 and we all jumped inside the pool. I lifted Auris up and spun her around in the pool. The water was cold, but it was just perfect because the sun was shining brightly above us. Louis started splashing water with his arms and we all joined in and did the same to him.

-Wait! I suggest and equal war. Let’s pair up –I took Auris hand and the rest of the guys did the same with the girls –we should pair up with someone different this time –we all looked around and smiled
