Louis

I heard Alex’s voice so far away I thought I was dreaming but then Maria’s voice whispered in my ear

-Lou? Wake up, it’s 8 already we don’t have enough time. Lou? –I opened my eyes slowly and blinked a few times until they got used to the light that was coming from the opened window. The car’s engine could be heard loud and clear. Maria was smiling at me and I smiled back as I stood up and hugged her

-You’re beautiful

-I just woke up

-I know, you’re still beautiful

-I’m a mess

-You’re a beautiful mess –She smiled and giggled before hugging me tightly. Pain started to well up inside of me. I held her close to me and closed my eyes

-Louis you need to let go off me, we need to get ready –letting her go was the hardest thing because I knew she won’t be there with me in a few hours. I pushed my tears back as she went inside the bathroom to take a shower. I went out of the bedroom and followed the voices coming from the living room. Alex, Liam and Harry were there

-Hey Lou –said Alex as she came to me and hugged me. Her eyes were puffy already. She broke up again when she hugged me but calmed herself almost immediately. She smiled at me and looked at the ground –I’m sorry –but she had made it, she had made me cry. The only person that had seen me cry apart from my mother was Harry. I bet that’s why she was now my closest friend. I tried not to think that not only Maria would be leaving but also her, making the pain much bigger. Harry came and hugged me.

-Do you guys have the things packed? –Liam asked, breaking the silence

-No, do you? –He shook his head

-I’m waiting for Cris to get out of the bathroom

-I bet you guys already have it set? –I asked Alex and Harry who were hugging

-Yeah, she woke me up at 7:30 and we packed everything

-I’m sorry for that curly, I’m gonna go down and pay everything okay? Check out. See you in a few-Harry went with her and they left us in the living room

-I’m miserable Liam –I said

-I know Lou, so I am

-You don’t seem to be

-I’m trying to keep it together, for her

-Bless you man

Niall

-Niall is my chain there? –Mari asked as she closed the drawer’s door and looked at me. There was nothing more on the table apart from the hotel’s lamp and the phone. I looked inside but it was not there either

-No babe, where did you leave it?

-Ugh I don’t know, don’t remember–she looked so troubled. The room as an utter mess. Her clothes were all scattered around the room, the backpack was widely opened on top of the bed, the drawers were empty now though, so everything that we had to do was packed it up. I sat on the floor and started folding neatly the clothes and putting them on top of the bed for her to organize them.

-Don’t worry, we’ll find it okay? –I told her hoping it will work and made her look less worried

-Yeah okay hopefully. Hate packing, nothing fits –I laughed and shook my head

-Can you stop worrying about that? Everything’s fine –she looked at me and smiled. Packing, as I had told her, was not that bad, with a bit of effort we managed to close the suitcase. She let herself fall on top of the bed and sighed
