Part 19 - How to avoid

pov Lilith

It's 2pm and i am still laying in my bed. I just don't want to come out of my room yet.

I feel even more tired then yesterday, because i haven't slept all night.

Was it all a dream? Was everything that happened with Johnny a dream?

No..... 

It was definitely not a dream.

When i close my eyes, i can still feel his lips touch mine and i seriously don't know how i feel about it.

I kind of like it, but it is also extremely weird because all the guys are like brothers to me.

I just feel confused.

I just feel so confused...

I really don't know what i need to do.

Suddenly, i hear someone knock on the door.

"Hey, are you awake? It's already 2pm and you are still sleeping. Are you okay? Are you sick?", Taeil asks concerned through the door.

I sigh and go out of my bed.

I open the door and look in his concerned face. His eyes soften when he sees that i don't look ill.

"You look okay, but why are you still in your room?", he asks.

I want to tell him about yesterday, but i hesitate. It's better that he doesn't know.

"Uhm... Yeah, i don't know. I just... Pfff... Uhm, let's talk about something else. Have you heard something about JK? It's almost a month ago since we last saw him. I am really concerned.", i react. 

"Yeah, we really need to know where he is, because his condition wasn't so good when Jaehyun last visited him. But right now, we can't focus only on his disappearance when we have work to do. He is also a grown adult, so we can't say what he can and can not do.", Taeil explains.

"Yeah, you are probably right....", i almost whisper.

"Uhm sorry Lilith, but i need to go back to the kitchen, because otherwise your eggs are going to get burned."

"Oh you are making me breakfast! You are such a sweety!", i say, while hugging him thightly.

"Ow, uhm... No problem....", he mumbles.

And then, we walk together to the kitchen, towards my delicious food.

Half an hour and a plate with scrambled eggs and bacon later, i walk out of the kitchen, feeling happy because of the tasty food and the great conversation we had.

I didn't tell him anything about Johnny, but i don't think that's necessary.

Suddenly, i see that Johnny is walking towards me and when he sees me, he looks a little startled.

I smile at him and want to say hello to him, but he just walks past me.

He totally ignores me.

Wait... What?

pov Johnny

I am standing in the kitchen right now and for some reason, my heart is beating in my throat, it feels like my longs are bursting and i just want to run back to the living room.

And all because of one girl.

All because of that one little girl that makes my heart flutter and makes my head go crazy like nobody else can.

All because of the young woman that fights like a beast and a monster at once, but helps and takes care of people like a mom. 

I don't know why, but my thoughts are seriously overreacting.

And all because Lilith walked past me just now.

She smiled at me and asked if everything is okay, but i ignored her and wasn't even looking at her.

I just walked past her.

And that's already the third time i did this today. The first time was when she just ate breakfast and we passed each other in the hallway. I didn't react to her "Good morning!".

I am just stupid, but i can't help it.

I need to ignore her, but that's just pretty hard when you live and work in the same house and the same group of friends.

I try to avoid her, but that is pretty impossible, so i decided to not react to her and try to act a little distant towards her.

It's hard, but it's better for everyone.

The next few days, i ignore her as much as possible and i try to be not alone with her in one room.

I avoid her and she notices it.

The first day, she smiled at me when she passed by, but now, after almost a week, her face became sad and she probably thinks that i am mad at her.

I am not, but i can't say that to her, because otherwise, she will ask what else is going on and i absolutely can't tell her.

It's just to painful.

Either way, we all are now sitting around the table, eating breakfast.

I sit next to her and i notice that she isn't eating properly. She is just playing with her food and all the guys are looking a little uncomfortable at us, not really knowing what to say.

I sigh and stand up, taking some of the empty plates with me, just before i disappear in the kitchen.

I just felt 18 pairs of eyes staring at me.

I place the plates in the dishwasher and walk towards the sink. I turn the water on and i begin to wash myself by splashing the water into my face.

I jump up when i hear someone opening the kitchen door.

And then, i see Lilith standing in front of me, with her hands on her sides.

I avoid her eyes and she notices it.

"What's actually your problem?!", she says, looking angry at me.

"N-n-n-nothing....", i stutter.

And there we stand, facing reality after almost a week.

I'm just so busy with school and other work and i really don't know what i need to do first...
