Part 18 - Feelings

pov Johnny

It's just a little 5 minutes ago that i ran out of Lilith's room.

I'm now in my room, still processing what i just did.

Oh god! She must think i'm crazy!

Suddenly, the door bursts open and Jaehyun runs in. I got almost a heart attack.  

He searches through one of our closets, but when it looks like he didn't found what he wanted, he runs towards the boxes that lay under his bed. Halfway through the room, he stops and looks at me.

I stand at the only window of the room, with my right hand running through my hair. 

"Hey, everything alright? You look a little...Confused....Scared....I don't know?", Jaehyun says.

"No... Uhm I mean yes. Everything alright.... There is nothing wrong... Nothing....", i stutter.

"Ow, Okay..... Anyway, we got a problem. I went to Jungkooks house and i knocked on the door, but no one opened it. I went inside, but i didn't see him anywhere. He was just.... Gone. But one thing is sure, we need to find him! We don't know what happened, but he isn't at full power yet!", Jae says, searching through all his boxes.

"That's not good! Anyway, what are you searching for?", i ask.

"I'm searching for the Locator, so we can track JK's phone or something. It's the only thing we can do right now...", he reacts.

"Yeah, but i think Taeil has it, i will get it for you, okay.", i say, in before i run out of our room.

I go downstairs and walk through every room in the house with hurricane of thoughts in my head, searching for Taeil.

I found our Moon in the kitchen, cleaning up the mess from the youngests. 

"Hey, do you still got the Locator with you?", i say, my voice sounding still a little shaky.

"Uhm yeah, i think so.....", he says. "Anyway, what's wrong with you?"

"How.... How do you mean?", i ask. 

"You look a little startled, your voice is shaking, you are sweating, you can't stand still and you also look a little hastily.", he reacts.

Taeil is good at observing. He can perfectly tell how someone feels by there movements, reactions, heartbeat and blood pressure.

Yeah, he can see someone's heartbeat and blood pressure.

It's just something he has already his entire life. When he was really young, he thought that it was normal, but when he explained his talent out loud, the other kids laughed with it and started bullying him and it never stopped.

We were the first people that believed him and his little secret.

He was just four years old when his parents were brutally murdered in a robbery, so his parents never knew about his talent.

Anyway, i am now just standing there awkwardly because of his accurate observation.

"And? Are you now going to say what's wrong?", Taeil says sternly.

I sigh and place myself down on a high chair. I thought that it would reduce our height difference, but it makes me look even taller and Taeil even smaller.

He notices it and jumps straight away on the kitchen island, so he is now taller then me.

He places his hand on my shoulder.

"Come on buddy, tell me..."

I sigh again.

"I...I...I think..... I think i kissed her...", i say.

"Wait... What? How? You think you kissed her? How can you think that? I don't understand anything about it! Wait... You are talking about Lilith, aren't you? Don't say that you kissed our little girl! No... No! That's so...", he patters, when i interrupt him by placing my hand over his mouth.

"Shhhht! You don't need to yell it for the entire house! I didn't even explain anything! First, yes i kissed her! It happened this evening. And in before you yell at me, yeah, i'm a stupid idiot!", i react.

"But what happened?", he asks again.

"I don't know, it was cozy, we were listening to music and suddenly, we sat really close to each other, i felt something and my first impulse was to kiss her. I'm sorry hyung...", i whisper, avoiding his eyes.

"Do... Do you like her?"

"I think i do... But that doesn't matter. You are right, she is our little girl, she is too young for me, she is like a sister to me. She is 19, almost 20 and i am 23, almost 24... Thanks for talking with me, but please, don't tell the others. It just doesn't matter anymore, because it is never going to happen. It's the best for everyone.", i say.

pov Taeil

yes, that's what he just said.

He tries to sound like he means every word he says, but i can clearly see that he is just lying to me, because he doesn't want me to be concerned about him.

But i know that he does what he promises, so i don't say anything about it.

"Ow, okay, i'm really sleepy, so i should go to sleep, see you tomorrow!", i say.

He nods softly.

"Good night hyung. I will turn the lights from the kitchen and living room off, so you can already go upstairs.", he says.

"Thanks.", i say, in before i walk up the stairs.

I turn around and look for a last time at him, but he just gives me a little smile, just before he turns the lights off.

I walk into my room and go to bed.

Not even 10 minutes later, i hear him go upstairs and then i hear a door that opens and closes.

And that's the moment when i feel a little more reassured and my eyes just can't hold it anymore.

I fall asleep, still with thoughts about what John just told me.....
