Ayato's POV

'what the hell happened lastnight? did i make him angry?' ugh why am i even avoiding him, were in the same damn house.

"ayato! where are you?"

i quickly hid under the blanket "go away you bastard!"

"aya...i didnt mean to, i was just...frustrated.." that pissed me off even more

"you think just because your frustrated that gives you the right? tsk trash."

i stuck my head out the blanket and seen him standing at the edge of the bed with a sad look 'dont you make that damn face!'

"your right ayato..im sorry i dont know what else to say."

"ugh you are seriously a half assed bastard." he looked to the floor, "...just dont do it again.."
'Should I be forgiving him this easily?.. '
"... Just so you know, next time you do that, I'm seriously gonna rip your fucking hands off."
'That should add some balance'
He just stands there, smiling at me. "What the hell are you smiling for?"
"I'm just happy."
"Your being weird."
I fix the bed and lay down, today seems to be a slow day. Suddenly I feel arms slither around my waist, I flinch quickly sitting up "... Ayato." "ugh what.."
He slowly grabs onto me, gently this time.
"Come here, I'm not going to bite."
He places me in his lap I tense for a bit, than ease up. "Are you afraid?"
"Of course not idiot."
"Really?"
"Yes."
I'm not lying. I'm really not afraid of him.. Yea.

Time skip

"Where are you going?" kaneki slowly zips up his coat and buckles up his boots.
"I have to keep getting stronger somehow."
I stand straight "what the hell does that mean?"
"Aya, I'm not implying anything, if that's what your thinking."
" I never implied I was thinking that way."
Kaneki just smiles and let's out a small chuckle
"Your always so clever, Aya~" he pulls me in for a hug, I hug him back.
"Just tell me what your up to bastard."
"...and always so intuitive."
He places his lips to mine, I slowly kiss back.
He pulls away with a heartwarming smile
"I'll be back, I promise."
He walks out the door.

"... Ugh I'm fucking sick of just waiting around like some house wife. I'm not a fucking house wife."
I trudge up the stairs and head for the room, rummaging through the closet, "there it is." I whisper to myself, pulling out the pitch black rabbit mask.
"Tch" 'does he seriously think I'm just gonna sit back and watch him get stronger?'

Third POV

Kaneki slowly walks down the street, almost seeming like a normal person.
Actually,  going on a set plan, like tonight, took patience and tolerance. The key to survival is taking slow calculated steps cautiously.

Kaneki continued his nightly routine, which consisted of:

Hunting ghoul and human.
Leave a trail to throw the CCG off black rabbits tail.
Eat.
Feed on the flesh of his own kind.
Store food for Aya.

And continue to wander, repeatedly doing the same routine hoping to snare a dove.
