----------Piper---------
Piper felt scared. She didn't know what Zeus was about to tell them. The Greek version of everybody's parents of the seven were there, standing behind Zeus in a half-circle formation. They were dressed up, (Aphrodite, her mom, the most dressed up, of course) and they looked even fancier than usual.
"Father, what do you need to tell us..?" Jason said, his eyes gleaming in curiosity, with a bit of worry.
"Frank, you may tell them," Zeus said. "Sure, Your Majesty. So, um.. Basically, Reyna and me both stepped down from being praetor.." Frank said, sighing and looking worried for approval.
"Woah, what? Why, did something bad happen?" Jason asked. "No, nothing bad happened. It's just that I wanted a break from being praetor, and wanted to spend more time with Hazel. It is a lot of work, and it isn't that I can't handle it, but after the war I just wanted some alone time with her." Everyone nodded. "And for Reyna, she joined the hunters," Frank said.
"Oh, really?" Annabeth asked. Piper just realised that Annabeth and Jason had a small bit of hope in their eyes. "Yeah, she did. She really liked how they performed and wanted to join for a long time now, she told me, but never had the courage to step down, but she finally did." "Thats nice," Jason said, nodding.
"So," Zeus said, wanting the attention back onto him. "We gave the choice to Frank and Reyna about who would become the next praetors, and they have chosen."
"Really? Who did you guys choose, Frank?" Jason asked, again with hope in his eyes. Did Jason want to become praetor again? Would this mean that he would have to move back to Camp Jupiter..
"Well, we decided on the two people that we believed that were great leaders, and would work really well together because they have the same mindset," Frank reasoned. "We chose Jason and Annabeth. You guys can totally not do it if you want and stuff, but we just chose you-" Frank was cut off. "Yes yes yes! I would love to do it! I really love the Roman ways and how they do stuff. That would be awesome!" Annabeth said, gleaming.
"Yay, thats great, Annabeth!" Frank smiled. "How about you, Jason?"
"Yeah, totally. I really wanted my spot back, but I didn't want to tell you because you earned it. But that would be awesome if I was praetor again," Jason said, and Piper could tell that he was more excited and happy that he was letting on, from his wide smile and gleaming eyes.
"Thats perfect! I would love my son to be praetor again. Good job, Jason, you made the right decision," Zeus said, smiling at him. "And you too, Annabeth. Lead them the best you can," Athena said, smiling at Annabeth too.
"Wait, so.. How is this going to work out..?" Piper interrupted, her voice a little shaky.
"What do you mean?" Jason asked. "Well, I mean, if you are going, what about us?" She asked, kind of worried. "Oh, right.."
"Wait, I know! I can just come to Camp Jupiter with you! And plus, I could see my dad a lot, too!" Piper smiled, relieved that she found a solution. "Yeah, me too! I was going to go to college there in a year, anyways, so it would work out perfectly." Percy said, smiling.
"Um, about that," Zeus said, "there is no more room for Greek demigods in Camp Jupiter right now.."
Piper and Percy stopped smiling. "Huh?" They said in unison.
"Camp Jupiter has a number of Greeks allowed to go there, and it is full, I think that there are even more than the limit too," Zeus said.
"Well, can't they make an exception for us, too?" Piper asked.
"I'm afraid not. Their exceptions are only for people that really need it and have no place to go, not for people who just want to go." Zeus stated. Jason frowned.
"Oh.." Piper felt sad. What was going to happen to her and Jason, they were going to be separated literally from the other side of the country. And what was going to happen to Percy and Annabeth? No, she thought. We will find a way, I know it. Piper thought for a second. Then, she smiled. Piper had a plan, and whispered into Percy's ear. He nodded, smiling.
"Okay then. We are just happy for Jason and Annabeth, good job!" Piper said meaningfully and kissed Jason on the cheek. He looked suspicious. Annabeth had one eyebrow up as Percy hugged her.
"Okay then," Zeus said, looking a little suspicious himself. "Well, we are going to go there," Poseidon said, pointing to the fancy stone chairs formed in a semi circle with each god's sign on it. "Bye, Dad." Percy said, waving. They left, leaving the nine (lets just call it the nine, kay? Lol) by themselves, not knowing what to do.
Leo was the one to break the ice. "So, Beauty Queen, is it just me or are you planning on something?" Leo asked. "Um, yeah. I am. I'll tell you guys when we get back to the hotel," she smiled.
For the rest of the party, they just hung out, ate, laughed and joked around, and had conversations with people who wanted to congratulate them for their hard work during the second war. Piper actually liked this attention, the attention of doing something important and hardworking, not just getting attention from happening to be a daughter of a famous movie star. She smiled at people who congratulated her, and felt so happy when young demigods wanted to take pictures with her. It was pretty awesome.
------------Time skip------------
When they got home, Piper was exhausted. And very worried. She didnt know if this plan would work, or be good, but she knew that Percy was in on it too and he would help her. All she needed to do now is to tell Jason and Annabeth.
"Kay. So, before you guys go to bed, I need to tell you my plan."
----------------------------
Another cliffhanger! I know, I am evil. But I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I wonder what Pipers plan is.. (Well actually I dont because I already know her plan but whatever lol)
