Chapter Eight: Explanation

Groaning as I struggled to open my eyes everything seemed fuzzy. Where am I? Looking around my heart nearly sank into my body. Ana. She was lying on the ground. I couldn't tell if she was breathing or not.I struggled to get up but my arms were tied around a chair and so were my legs. "Well well well look who finally woke up." I turned to the voice and saw Black grinning down at me. Fuck it was Black the whole time. I couldn't show my anger but I continued to stare at him. After it seemed like forever I finally spoke. "Why are we here?" He just grinned walking over to Ana kneeling down to touch her face. "You gotta pretty girl Tay. Shame to see all this go to waste." He looked her limp body up and down and reached out but I yelled out. "Don't you touch her. She has nothing to do with this. " "Oh but she has everything to do with this Tay. Her and her mother. " Her mom! "Oh you didn't know did you," He continued talking as he walked around me. "Her mom's is dating Red's uncle. Now with Red gone thanks to you, he now takes over the organization. He told me if Red were ever to get taken out, take out the one who took him down no remorse. And that's what I'm here to do."

My father always told me to beware of consequences but I guess I didn't take him serious enough. Running thoughts through my head i had to think quick and fast. I needed to get Ana out of here safely. But that was like asking for a miracle. And a miracle it was. Kicking down Ana's door rushed in Bryant and 5 other guys from my team. I quickly rose to my feet knocking the chair into Black watching him hit the floor. One of the guys came over and cut me loose I quickly ran over to Ana scooping her into my arms. Her body was limp and her face was cold and emotionless. Holding back pain I told the guy who cut me loose to come with me. Rushing out to the parking lot we hopped in Black's truck taking off. "Fuck man!" I yelled out in the backseat holding Ana in my arms. I checked her pulse it was very faint but it was there. "Can you step on it dude?" Roaring the engine we hit 90 zipping through traffic.

Wake up Ana just wake up. Oh I want to open my eyes so bad but something is keeping me from opening them. How could she do this to me? I thought she loved me, or something like it. Maybe this is better than facing her and hearing her voice. My mom. I miss her so much. God please wake me up.

Pacing back and forth in the hospital waiting room I met Ana's mother's glares. I wanted to hold her hand and tell her everything but now was not the time nor place. When the doctor walked up to us my eyes grew big and my heart skipped a beat. "Miss Anaese is doing just fine. She has a nasty knock on the head but her recovery will be quick. We are keeping her sedated until the morning where you can talk to her. Now what we are unsure of is her memory. We won't know that until she wakes up tomorrow morning." The doctor said looking from me to her mother. After he walked off I turned to her mother and she greeted me with a hard slap. I deserved it. Her only child was laying in a hospital bed because of me. "Debra I--" "Don't you fucking Debra me!" she slapped me across the face again and I looked at the floor. "Can you at least let me explain?" "Explain what?! How can you explain this?! How can you justify this?" "I can't justify this just please hear me out Miss Debra, but here is not the place!" "I'm not having the conversation Tiyuana not today not ever.  I want you out of her life!" Debra stormed off past me down the hallway to Ana's room. Sitting back on the couch I dropped my head into my hands.

"Tiyuana what the entire fuck happened?!" Morgan ran up to my waving her arms in the air like a lunatic. She looked like she hasn't slept in days and didn't care for her appearance which was nothing like Morgan. "I honestly don't know but I'm going to find out. " "Yeah well you better buster or there's going to be hell to pay!" it was the early morning of Ana's wake from sedation. Alot of her family was there and were giving me evil glares. The only person that would talk to me was Morgan. The doctor came out and spoke to us all,"Anaese has just woken up, she's a bit groggy but she's ready for a few visitors. " Debra and Ana's dad jumped up and followed the doctor back to Ana's room. My mind was racing I couldn't take not seeing her. I stood up and Morgan touched my arm. "I have to see her Morgan!" I stormed off down the hallway to her room for the first time. Seeing her face since I brought her here I didn't know what to expect. When I got to her door they all stopped talking and looked at me. Surprisingly Debra and her dad left me and Ana alone but not without glaring at me. I sighed and walked over to her bedside. She looked like she was in so much pain. "Ana, I can't believe this has happened to you I am so sorry--" "Why did you let this happen to me?" she interrupted looking into my eyes. They were so soft with pain. I felt myself beginning to cry. "Ana please let me explain. " "Okay." she said sitting up slowly preparing herself.  Little did she know she was getting ready to know the true Tiyuana Jackson.
