I spend all morning looking through my father's office and I even look in my parent's bedroom, but I haven't found this damn book. By the time I reach college I'm frustrated, angry and on the verge of tearing my hair out my head.

"Kaitlyn," Zack says as he suddenly pulls me from the car. Gripping my hand tight in his, he pulls me into the forest.

"Darlin'. What's the matter?" he asks.

I can't answer him. I'm just too tired and so frustrated. I haven't slept all night. My mind was going over and over things I need to do, keeping me awake. It feels like the whole world is crumbling around me and I've nowhere to grab onto as I slowly fall. My legs give out and Zack catches me. In one quick move I'm in his arms.

"Damn it, Kaitlyn, you're too tired for this," he snarls.

I know he's right. For the past four days I've been home, I've searched the house as much as I can with the time limit I've had. The rest of the time I've spent trying, and failing, to sleep. It isn't just emotional exhaustion, its physical exhaustion too.

"I'm sorry," I mumble, as my eyes drift.

Zack's arms surround me and he mumbles gentle words as he sits down on the forest floor, his back against a tree. He manages to somehow shrug off his coat and put it around me, as I curl up on his knee. Pressing my cold cheek to his warm chest as he wraps his arms around me. I can almost sense the mating bond inside of me. Linking us together. I know the instant he falls into a light sleep, his body still alert to any danger.

I'm safe. With that final thought in mind, I fall asleep.

A car horn shocks me from sleep and I gasp, sitting up quickly. Zack's coat falling from my body as I do so. His arms instantly come around me and I sigh as I lean back against his body.
I take in my surroundings and smile when I can see students leaving college.

"I think we missed college," I say. I can feel his laughter vibrating in his chest.

"I don't really care," he yawns. He stretches and I turn.

"Thanks."

"You don't need to thank me, Kaitlyn. You're my mate, I'll do anything for you, no matter what," he promises.

His lips are warm under my cold ones and I feel his lips curve into a smile as I kiss him more deeply. Trying something I've never done before, I flick my tongue out across his lips. He growls in the back of his throat and it only gives me the confidence to go further. Turning, I straddle his legs and place one hand on his neck. I slide the other into his hair; feeling his short brown hair tangle in my fingers. He doesn't take control of the kiss, although I know he wants to.

His hands go to my waist and he urges me down onto the thick bulge pressing tight inside his jeans. I groan softly, before rubbing my aching jean clad sex against him. It has been nearly a week since we first made love and mated and everything in me wants to feel him inside me again.

Rubbing myself against him he finally loses control and takes over. Laying me down on his coat, his mouth takes mine in a possessive and hungry kiss. His hands unbutton my jeans as his tongue tangles with mine.

"I want you, Kaitlyn," he growls softly in my ear.

I arch up in answer against him. My body burns with a need that scares me, yet I've never, in all my life, needed someone as much as I need Zack right this second.
