It's been two hours and fifteen minutes since Zack and I found out Emily was missing. Since then, I've sat with Jasmine until Nathan had arrived back from the small search that had gone out a few hours ago to hunt for Emily. Yet with Nathan and Jasmine too distraught to think clearly, Zack has taken over and is at this second, rounding up every able Sentinel, who isn't securing the perimeter to help find Emily.

I know he's trying with all his heart to find his little sister.

In the kitchen I try cooking something for everyone to eat. As much as they may not feel like eating, especially Jasmine, they need to keep their strength up. Lowering the cooker, I hurry across the kitchen to pick up the ringing phone.

"Hello?" I ask and the first thing I hear is a dangerous growl.

"If you want to see this little bitch again, give us the Alpha's mate. Give us the human hunter," a male voice snarls.

"You me mean then," I say as I try to sound as least panicked as I can, yet my heart is beating fast as the bile raises in my throat.

"So you're the little whore my brother wants," he hisses.

I close my eyes, not wanting to even know why his brother wants me or who he is. I just wait for him to go on.

"Be a good little bitch and come to the abandoned cabin in the woods about a mile from the cinema. You know it well?" he asks and I feel sick.

"I know it," I say carefully.

Annie and I'd hung out there when we were younger. It'd been a place to get away from my parents for a while when Annie's weren't home. It'd been a sort of get away from reality, but I hadn't been there in years.

"Good. Come at midnight tonight and come alone or we kill the little wolf," he snarls.

"How do I know she's still alive?" I force the words out, but I need this bastard to give me something, to let me know Emily's still alive.

"You don't," he hisses with a gurgled laugh.

"Then you can fuck off," I spit, tears in my eyes. Silence fills the phone for a second or two before a cry makes my eyes go wide.

"Kaitlyn!" Emily cries.

"I'm coming, Emily! Just hold on, be strong," I say quickly, before she screams, "Emily!"

"Midnight," the man growls before the call ends. Barely a second later, Zack runs into the kitchen with five Sentinels behind him.

"Kaitlyn?" he says.

He looks at me and then to the phone, which is still in my hand. I drop the phone and run into his arms. He grips me tightly, his arms strong as they come around me.

"Oh god, Zack. They made her scream. They made her scream," I whisper over and over until he pulls back and frames my face.

"What did they say, baby? Tell me what happened?" he says and I just look at him, "What do they want?" he pushes his eyes begging me to answer him.

"Me," I whisper softly, "They want me."

He growls as he pulls me back into his arms and I cling to him. No one speaks for a few minutes until I've calmed down enough that I pull away from Zack.

"What did they say, Luna?" Alex asks.

I put the phone back on the hook, before turning back around and leaning against the counter to support myself.

Taking a deep breath in I force myself to explain.

"They want me to go to the old cabin in the woods. It's the Finches' old place about five, maybe six miles from where Annie and I were attacked that night. He wants me to go at midnight... alone and swap my life for Emily's."
