I laid in the center of my bed at home staring at the ceiling, Alice was sat next to me on the edge of my bed, watching me worried. Probably because I haven't even said a word since the incident at the restaurant. As I laid there feeling empty and numb I heard my bedroom door swing open. I heard Alice gasp but I didn't really care until I heard that familiar voice...

"Leila?! Leila are you ok?" I head Shawn's voice frantically ask as he walked up to me. Hearing his voice I felt my tears starting to form in my eyes and I couldn't help the frown that formed on my face.

"Sh-Shawn!" I sobbed before I quickly sat up and looked over to him. He looked concerned as he approached the bed, I just threw myself in his arms. Shawn was fast to catch me so I didn't fall off the bed and he held me as I buried my face in the crook of his neck and cried.
"Fuck, are you ok?" Shawn asks as he rubbed my back.
"W-We we're going to get lunch and then Jess and Leila started fighting about you and Jess slapped her and she wouldn't say a word to me..." Alice explained. Shawn pulled me back and held onto my shoulders only to look at me worried.

"Are you ok? She didn't hurt you?" He asks. I sniffled as I watched Alice quickly walk behind Shawn and out my room, closing the door behind her. I just looked back at Shawn but he didn't seem to have changed his attitude.

"Sh-She's gone, you don't have to-"
"Leila, are you ok? Did she hurt you?" He asks again in a firm tone. I just furrowed my brows before sniveling and wiping my tears with the back of my hand.
"No..." I answered.
"Why didn't you want to talk to anyone?" He asks.
"I-I guess I was in shock..." I explained.
"I'm sorry this happened to you." He said as he pulled me into a hug once more and rubbed my back again.

"Aaliyah was going through Twitter when she saw this video of you getting hit and she showed it to me so I came running over as fast as I could," Shawn explained as he pulled away once more.

"W-Why?" I asked.
"Because... I was worried." He admitted sheepishly.
"What?" I asked taken aback.
"Yeah, I thought you were hurt... I don't want my best employee to get hurt." He nervously chuckled making me smile a small smile.
"I'm ok... just... not really sure why Jess would do it."
"So what did happen?" He asks before moving to my side and sitting on my bed next to me. I sighed as I sat back in the center of my bed and started explaining.

"Fuck... I'm so sorry about that. I didn't think she'd actually... you guys are like best friends right?"
"Were." I scoffed.
"I'm sure she'll get over it, you guys can't just... uh... nevermind." Shawn started to say something but rejected it, kinda annoying me.

"What? What were you gonna say?" I asked.
"No, uh nothing it's stupid," Shawn said shaking his head and avoiding my eyes.
"C'mon, I know you hate when someone does it to you and me too. Just tell me." I said trying to get it out of him.
"I was just gonna say that you guys shouldn't throw away your friendship over one little fight but... but that makes me a hypocrite, doesn't it?" He asks.
"You're right... I'm sure we'll get over it, but right now it's probably best if we distance ourselves. But I don't understand how saying that makes you hypocritical? " I questioned.
"Well..." Shawn started. As we sat there we heard a small knock from my door.

"Come in!" I called. As I did the door opened to reveal Alice peeking her head in.
"H-Hi..." She says as she cautiously steps in.
"Hi, are you Alice?" Shawn asks as he stands up.
"Y-Yes..." Alice answers nervously.
"She's a big fan of yours," I spoke up for Alice who seemed incapable of doing so herself.
"Really?" Shawn asks looking from me back to Alice with his brows raised.
"Oh my God I love your music and you and... uh... I... sorry I don't want to be weird or creepy." Alice says looking embarrassed.
"No way, did you want a picture or something?" Shawn asks making Alice light up.
"Yes! Please oh my God!" She squealed before reaching into her pocket and pulling out her phone.
"Leila can you-"
"Yeah, I got it," I said already knowing what Alice was gonna ask. She just handed me her phone and stood right next to Shawn in front of my bed with a huge smile on her face. I smiled myself as I stood in front of them and held up her phone. Shawn placed one arm around Alice and the other he held up making a peace sign with his fingers.

"Say, Mendes!" I cheered before taking the picture.
"Can I maybe get 2 if that's not too much to ask?" Alice asks as they pull away from each other.
"Of course not, honey." Shawn shook his head making Alice put a hand over her chest and take a deep breath.
"Alice, you're too excitable," I comment as I walk her phone back over to her.
"I want this one to be a selfie view of all of us!" She says.
"Oh, no I look terrible right now," I said wiping at the dried tears on my face.
"No way, you always look beautiful," Shawn said before pulling me into his arms and holding me against his body. I giggled as I was in his grasp looking over to Alice who was staring at us in awe.

"Can I just take a picture of this? It's too cute!" She asks excitedly.
"Are you gonna post it online?" I asked raising a brow at her.
"Only if that's ok with you both." She says. I just smile and look up at Shawn, him giving me a smile back.
"Go ahead," I said before looking back to Alice. I watched as she held up her phone but before she could take the picture I turned my head back to look up at Shawn who was already staring at me lovingly. I just smiled until I heard a quiet click.

"You guys are so precious!" She said before tapping away on her phone.
"I don't look bad right?" I asked.
"Never," Shawn said in a hushed tone, barely audible.
"What was that?" I asked, hoping he'd repeat himself loud enough for Alice to hear.
"Oh... nothing." He smiled before releasing me. I just furrowed my brows at him confused before walking over to Alice to see the picture.

"Oh that is a cute picture, make sure you tag us." I said looking at the picture of Shawn and me."
"Alright, where am I posting it?"
"Everywhere of course!" I said reaching over and tapping on the picture to set a filter for it.
"You think so?" Alice asks looking at me.
"Yeah, I want everyone to see me and my handsome man everywhere." I giggled as I looked over at Shawn who was just watching us with his phone in his hands, it looked like he was texting but looked up when I said what I did about him, making him smile.

"Alright then," Alice said and I watched as she started making status updates on all her social media profiles with the picture.
"Hey, babe..." Shawn speaks up, making me look up at him.
"Can I ask you something uh... in private?" He asks before glancing at Alice and then back at me.
"Oops, sorry you guys probably want to be alone, besides I gotta get home, my mom needs me to watch Alex tonight," Alice said as she put her phone away.
"No, you're fine, thanks for everything," I said before hugging Alice. She hugged me back and then walked out the door shutting it behind her.

"Yes, sir?" I asked Shawn as I placed my hands on my hips looking over at him.
"Wanna go watch a movie before the concert?" He asks.
"Oh... wait why didn't you ask me in front of Alice? That would have been a perfect couple thing to play up." I asked.
"Well because I just wanted it to be me and you like a boss rewarding his employee for a hard days work." He explained.
"Yeah, that's a paycheck." I laugh making Shawn laugh nervously. Why's he acting so shy right now?
"But really, do you want to?" He asks.
"Yeah, uh... sure." I agreed with a shrug.
"Cool, wanna head out now then?" He asks.
"Just give me a minute to change and clean my face and we can head out if that's alright with you, Mr. Mendes." I smiled.
"Of course, I'll be downstairs with your mother." He smiled before he walked towards my bedroom door.
