As I was sat on the bed I started texting Alice and Jess in our group chat about my experience so far as Shawn's assistant. All the while he was changing and checking out how he looked in his suit. When I was in the middle of reading a response from Jess, a large figure in a deep violet suite hovered over me. I mentally prepared myself for whatever menial task Shawn could think of for me before looking up to see what he wanted.

"Yes, Mr. Mendes?" I asked turning off the screen of my phone and holding it in my lap.
"Well... I have my outfit but what about you?" He asks.
"What about me?" I raised a brow.
"What will you wear?"
"What do you mean?" I asked as I furrowed my brows.
"Well you are coming with me to this event, I need to know what you're gonna wear." He explained.
"Oh... uh... jeans, a crop top?" I said in a questioning tone.
"What?! This is a formal event, Ms. Harris!" He said shocked by my answer.
"I'm sorry, I didn't think I'd be attending this event with you. Besides people aren't there for me, they're there for you, they'll be more invested in what you're wearing." I explained with a slight shrug.
"Yes but you're part of my team which means you have to look your best because then that makes me look the best." He said looking away from me and into the mirror hung on the wall.

"Well, I don't really have anything fancy I-"
"Let's go get you something then, I can't have you looking like trash." He scoffed.
"I can just not go as well," I suggested, brushing off his rude remark.
"You have to, you're my assistant I need you with me 24/7. You should really be thanking me I chose you as my plus one you know." He said in a sassy tone. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, holding back my temper.
"Thank you, Mr. Mendes..." I thanked him, not wanting to fight.
"You're welcome, now go get ready we're going to buy you a nice dress." He commanded me. I just did as he said and stood from his bed.

I walked over to the double doors on the side of his room just a few feet away from the door to enter the room. I unlocked them and pulled them open revealing my own room. It was a compromise from last week to get a conjoined room, Shawn wanted to share a room again but I just reminded him of his drunken night and he caved very quickly.

Shawn and I were out and about again at the mall this time. He told me I'd be off the clock here since we were only on one mission, go in, buy a dress, get out. Shawn was dressed down in a baggy white t-shirt, grey sweatpants and a Madison Square Garden cap that he pulled down so he wouldn't be recognized. I wore the same outfit from earlier which was just a black and yellow checkered skirt, a white lace shirt and black wedges. I was carrying my gray coat I originally wore with my outfit just because it was a little warm inside.

As we walked I heard faint talking from girls following close behind us. I looked over my shoulder to see two girls whispering to one another. They had to be fans that recognized Shawn but they don't look sure of themselves. I quickly slid off my jacket and put it on Shawn's right arm covering his guitar tattoo.

"B-Babe, carry this for me, ok?" I played it off so Shawn wouldn't be recognized.
"Wh-"
"Oh look! Sephora!" I cheered as I placed my hand on the back of Shawn's bicep, over his light bulb tattoo and pulled him further ahead of the girls. When I looked back I noticed they stopped following us and stood there talking to one another, looking embarrassed.

"Ms. Harris!" Shawn barked before pulling his arm away from me. I gasped and jumped out of shock. Shawn didn't look too happy with my stunt as he stopped walking, making me stop as well, and stood there glaring at me.

"Th-There were fans, Mr. Mendes. I was trying to prevent a crowd... It worked though, they've stopped following..." I weakly defended myself. He just narrowed his eyes before discretely trying to look around.
"Whatever." He scoffed before shoving my jacket back to me. I quickly grabbed it before it could fall to the floor. Shawn then started walking ahead of me quickly as I gripped my jacket tightly and started following him. Would it absolutely kill him to be nice to me for once? Maybe I should just let the next set of girls who recognizes him approach us! I'm off the clock, I can just wander off on my own while he has to deal with a whole mall full of people on his ass while he has no security to protect him. Stupid, jerk...
