Chapter 15

Vianca's POV

Ethan never gave me the chance to discuss with him about the party arrangements and there is no way that I am going back to his cabin to discuss it because I don't want to face him. He is ridiculous. If I was not in the need for money then I would have left this job immediately but I can't because I need to earn and a lot of money for Vanessa's education and for Mom's health. I sighed as I headed towards the lounge where Mr. Hemsly was sitting. Poor fellow! He has been waiting here for about 20 minutes. I will have to finalise the arrangements myself. Since I cannot ask Mr. Martinez so I'll take help from Mr. Carter. I mean they know each other since childhood so Mr. Carter would have the perfect idea about my boss' choices. I quickly rushed to Mr. Carter's cabin and told him to help me. He asked me why Ethan won't help me, I just said that he was busy working on an important project.

I took Mr. Carter to the lounge where Mr. Hemsly had been waiting. They greeted each other and I showed him the arrangements.

Mr. Carter smiled at me and said, "Wow Vianca. I must say that you have got a great taste. Nice choices, Ethan will be more impressed than he already is. Finalise them." He said pointing to the catalog.

I looked at him in confusion but he just chuckled. I finalised the arrangements and with that Mr. Hemsly finally left.

I smiled at Mr.Carter and said, "Thank you Mr. Carter not only for this but also for helping me."

"No it's alright you don't need to thank me. If you need any help regarding the party just call me. Jessica has given you my number right?"

"Yes she has I'll call you if I need anything and sorry to bother you."

"Um Vianca can I ask you something?" Mr. Carter asked hesitantly, lowering his tone, making sure that no one hears us.

"Yes what is it Mr. Carter?"

"You are very close with Jessica right? You both have become very good friends right?"

"Yes and infact we are not just good friends but we are best friends. But why are you asking this Mr. Carter?"

"Well I was wondering from a long time if you will let Jessica move in with you in the apartment that Ethan gave you since she lives at the other corner of the city. Also I have heard that it is a two bedroom apartment so we don't need to worry about the safety of you girls as well."

My face immediately lit up as he said those words I can't believe it he made this offer. I instantly replied, "Sure why not I mean she is my best friend I would love to live with her but I don't think she will agree. I mean I tried asking her the same thing a month ago because I know she has been looking for better apartments but she refused. She said that she does not wants to accept such offers and she wants to live in her own flat which she buys."

Soon the smile from his face vanished. "Will you do me a favour Vianca? You have to convince her to move in your apartment. I will try my best to pressurize her but you have to talk to her because you are her best friend. Please convince her."

"Oh okay Mr. Carter don't worry I'll talk to her. But there is one problem. Even if Jess agrees I mean Jessica agrees to move in with me but will Ethan Sir approve?" I asked.

He chuckled and said, "Don't worry dear leave it upto me. He will definitely approve. And besides if you both are together we won't have to worry that you are alone and safe."

"No Mr. Carter even if we live alone we are safe and you guys don't have to bother I mean-"

He cut me off and said, "Don't call me Mr. Carter you can call me Jake instead. And also you remind me of my sister who is adorable just like you."
