Chapter 35

ETHAN'S POV

I heard Vianca scream on the call. She was not responding I was worried now. What happened? I hope she's safe. I immediately took my car keys and rushed to her apartment. I drove as fast as I could and reached her place within 10 minutes. I was nervous as hell standing in the elevator. I immediately scurried to her flat and rung the doorbell. Vianca opened the door and she was crying.

"Vianca are you okay? I heard you scream on the call and you were not responding so I came here to check."

"Mom- Ethan something happened to her. Mom fainted all of a sudden." She  said with tears in her eyes.

I rushed in closing the door behind me and saw her mother laying unconscious on the floor.

"I even tried sprinkling water on her face but she won't get up." Cried Vianca.

"We'll have to immediately take her to a hospital."

"I am calling the emergency."

"No Vianca there's no time for that. We have to rush her to the nearest hospital right now." It looks like she had a seizure or something she needs to be treated in time.

"But Ethan-"

"Vianca there's no time to contemplate." I said picking up her mother and rushing towards the door.

Vianca grabbed her purse, phone and keys and we rushed to my car. I tossed her my keys as she opened the door. Vianca sat in the backseat and I carefully placed her mother in the back of the car. I got in and drove at full speed to the nearest hospital.

All this while Vianca was crying and patting her mom's head. "Mom please wake up."

We soon reached a hospital. I parked the car at the entrance we rushed her mother into the emergency.

"It's an emergency. She fainted all of a sudden. Please check her." I told the doctor.

"Nurse check her blood pressure, sugar and monitor her heart rate." Commanded the doctor and soon two nurses started checking her mother.

"How old is she?" Asked the doctor.

"She's 48." Answered Vianca.

"Is she diabetic or allergic to anything?"

"No doctor, neither of that." Said Vianca looking at her mother with tears in her eyes.

"Alright. Any history of heart trouble?" Questioned the doctor.

"'Yes she was recently diagnosed with heart issues. She was taking treatment in Ohio from Dr. Harold."

"I think she has suffered from a cardiac arrest. We need to do some tests to find out."

The doctor went and Vianca broke into tears. It felt bad to see her in this state. I know how it feels to see your mother suffering before your eyes. I tried to comfort her but she wouldn't stop crying.

"Vianca calm down she'll be alright."

"I cannot see Mom in such a miserable state Ethan." She cried.

A nurse approached us. "Are you a family member of Mrs. Julia?"

"Yes I am her daughter."

"Here you need to fill up this form." She gave us a form and left. Vianca filled the form and the doctor came.

"The results are here. Mrs. Irvin has blockage in her heart. We immediately need to do angioplasty. Her blockage is not severe but maybe extreme stress or anxiety might have worsened her condition. The cardiologist is here we'll soon start the procedure. Please fill up the consent form." The doctor left and Vianca fell down on the chair, shocked.
