A smiling Hae-nim leisurely walked down the busy streets of Silla with Liwen and Lu following closely behind her, acting as one of the many busy Silla citizens.
"Jinheung will rule a beautiful kingdom." she mumbled, but loud enough for Liwen and Lu to hear.
Liwen quirk an eyebrow as she glanced at Lu and saw his face scrunched up in displeasure hearing the young Silla King's name. She shakes her head in disbelief while Lu frowned, yet continued watching over Hae-nim.
Hae-nim stopped walking when she suddenly stepped on something. She looked down and saw a black shoe in the middle of the road. She stared at it in confusion as she knelt down and grabbed it.
"Why is there a shoe here?" she asked with furrowed eyebrows as she stood up.
Liwen and Lu walked over to Hae-nim and stared at the shoe she was holding before looking at each other in confusion.
Lu looked at the shoe again. "Where is the other one?" he asked as he stifled his laugh.
Hae-nim looked around and saw the same young woman yesterday, who was telling a story, sitting on the ground with a daze look on her face and a missing shoe.
"Oh, poor thing."
Hae-nim walked over to the young woman before kneeling in front of her with Liwen and Lu behind her, and held the shoe towards her. "Is this yours?" she asked.
The young woman looked at the shoe in surprise and quickly grabbed it from Hae-nim with a grin on her face. "Ah, thank you!" she said gratefully.
Hae-nim realized the young woman was drunk and chuckled in amusement. "You are welcome." she replied.
The young woman blinked and looked up at Hae-nim. "Woah, you are pretty." she said in a daze.
Hae-nim smiled. "Thank you, and you are drunk in broad daylight."
"My name is Ah Ro."
Hae-nim grabbed Ah Ro's shoe and put it on her foot as Liwen and Lu's eyes widen in shock.
"My Lady!"
"You cannot-"
Hae-nim turned to the two and smiled. "Why? Can I not help someone in need?" she asked as Liwen and Lu looked down with furrowed eyebrows, and bit their lower lip.
