Spring turned to summer, summer turned to fall, fall turned to winter, and winter turned to spring again just like the day turned to night and night turned to day again.
It was an endless cycle for King Jinheung and Empress Tian Feng. Time passed by of not seeing each other and watched from afar as they became the rulers they were destined and fated to be.
There were several hardships and huge obstacles in the way, but they managed to overcome them with their most trusted friends and subjects.
King Jinheung has Sun Woo and the Hwarang, while Empress Tian Feng has Liwen, Yao and Lu with the FengHuang Army.
Jinheung would randomly receive a letter from Lu about Hae-nim. He has been in contact with him since the day he was crowned King of Silla. He didn't expect their bond to run deep when they bicker like there was no tomorrow in the past.
He was happy to know that she was healthy and well. He was so overwhelmed with pride and joy that she managed to rule as powerful as the Sun Empire alone.
However, he was heartbroken when he heard news of Hae-nim's marriage with Yao.
In Lu's letter, he explained that they were surprise with the sudden announcement, but the marriage has long been formally and legally arranged by the late emperor, Hae-nim's father with Yao's father and the approval of all the Sun Ministers.
Jinheng knew he couldn't just idle and watch as the woman who his heart chose, marry someone else. Just as he was about to travel to China, he was visited by Yao.
"As King of Silla, answer me truthfully, Hui Yao. How long have you known your arranged marriage to Hae-nim?"
"I answer with utmost sincerity, Your Majesty, it was not revealed until recently after her birthday that she is now of marriageable age."
"You do not disagree with this arrangement, you like her."
"No, my feelings for Her Majesty exceeds more than that. I love her as much as you do, King Jinheung."
The two men vying for Hae-nim's love stared at each other coldly. One has her heart, but the other has her hand.
