“Guess what?” Ten asked as he hugged Taeyong from behind.

Ten had just knocked on his door, wearing shorts and a t-shirt and a broad smile. A smile spread across Taeyong’s lips as he held his hands over Ten’s.

“What?” He asked, already knowing the answer.

Ten nuzzled his head against Taeyong’s as he replied. “I’ve got the night off.”

“Mm? So what did you want to do then?” Taeyong asked, biting his lip as he tried not to smile.

Ten walked him forward then pushed them both onto the bed, not letting go of him. Taeyong shifted around in his arms so he was facing him, their noses nearly touching.

“I actually had something in mind, but I’m not sure if you’re going to like it.” Ten replied, flashing a cheeky grin at him.

Taeyong tilted his head to the side then narrowed his eyes at the handsome Thai man. If it was Ten saying that, it was probably something that would be out of Taeyong’s comfort zone.

“Aww, don’t look at me like that!” Ten pouted, kissing his cheeks.

Taeyong laughed at his cute, childish behaviour and cupped his face in his hands. “What is it?” He asked nervously.

“I want to kiss you in public.” Ten replied in a seductive whisper, licking his lips as he stared hungrily at Taeyong’s lips.

Taeyong’s eyes widened with anxiety as he thought about publicly displaying his affection for Ten.

“Nope.” He said instantly, shaking his head. He was only just starting to grow comfortable in showing more affection towards Ten while they were alone; the thought of kissing him in front of strangers - especially after the incident with Jefrey in the bathroom - just stressed him out.

“You’ll let me, won’t you?” Ten asked sweetly, puffing up his cheeks.

Taeyong shook his head again. “No, no I won’t.”

“What about if we play a game?” Ten suggested. “How about basketball? I win and I get to kiss you in front of everyone as much as I want for the rest of the night.” He winked at Taeyong.

“And if I win, you have to do everything that I say for the rest of the night.” Taeyong responded, staring confidently back at him. He wasn’t sure what he would make Ten do, but he was sure he’d think of something good. Something that would make Ten squirm, if there actually was something that would take Ten out of his comfort zone.

“Okay, it’s a deal.” Ten agreed. He kissed Taeyong, sealing the deal. He seemed genuinely excited about this game, which made Taeyong think that he would probably be happy with either winning or losing.

He let go of Taeyong and jogged to the door. “I’ll meet you up on the basketball court. Go get Johnny and Mark. They can be the judges.” He said. He blew Taeyong a kiss before leaving.

Taeyong sighed happily to himself. He was so happy that things were working out with Ten. He got off the bed and made his way to his friends’ cabin next door, knocking twice on the door. Mark answered it.

“Hey buddy, what’s up?” Mark asked cheerily.

Behind him, Johnny was laying on the bed, engrossed in something on his phone.

“Hey guys, come up to the basketball court with me. Ten and I are going to play a game and we need you two as the judges. The stakes are high.” Taeyong explained as he stood in the doorway.

Mark tilted his head to the side. “The stakes are high, you say? What did you bet on?” He asked.

“Well, if Ten wins he gets to kiss me in public and if I win he has to do everything I say.” Taeyong replied, rubbing his arm and smiling nervously at Mark. Mark burst out laughing at his response.

“Oh wow, I can't wait to see the outcome of this.” Johnny piped up from the bed, looking up from his phone.

“Exactly.” Mark agreed. “If Ten wants to make out with you in public I suggest you get your A game on if you wanna win.” He said, patting Taeyong’s shoulder.

Ten was already taking practice shots with a basketball when Taeyong, Mark and Johnny arrived on the fenced court which was outside up on deck fifteen at the stern of the ship.

The sun was sitting low in the sky, casting shadows of the fencing over half of the court.

“Hey, no fair, I want to warm up too before we start!” Taeyong complained.

He ran over to Ten and tried to snatch the ball off him. Ten ducked under his outstretched hands and spun around, holding the ball close to his chest and poking his tongue out at him. Taeyong grabbed hold of the basketball, pulling Ten closer to him.

“What? Are you worried you're going to lose?” Ten teased him, keeping hold of the ball.

“You wish.” Taeyong retorted, trying hard to keep a serious look on his face.

Ten took a step forward to whisper in his ear. “I don't need to. I already know I'm going to win.” He giggled and shot Taeyong a seductive look.

Taeyong took the moment to rip the ball out of his hands and dribble it to the other end of the court.

“Better get ready for it!” Ten yelled cheekily at him. He brought his arms up to make a heart shape on his head and winked at him.

Taeyong acted like he didn't love the cute, flirty way Ten was acting and flicked his head to the side with his nose in the air. This earned a whine from Ten and made Taeyong smirk in satisfaction.

“Okay enough flirting, let's get on with the game.” Mark yelled from the sidelines. He sat down next to Johnny and placed a cap on his head to keep the sun out of his eyes.

After a few warm up laps around the court and a couple of practice shots, Taeyong was ready to start the game.

“Okay first to five wins.” Johnny declared, smiling eagerly at them both.

“And no cheating and no funny business or you get a point deducted.” Mark added, pointing his finger at them.

Taeyong and Ten glanced at each other before looking back to Johnny and Mark. “Okay.” They replied in unison.
