Taeyong wiped sweat from his forehead and raked his fingers through his hair while he caught his breath.
Ten had managed to steal the lead and was sitting on four points, just ahead of Taeyong’s three. Taeyong hadn't bargained on his speed. He was so quick and agile, sweeping out of Taeyong’s reach and dribbling the ball to the hoop before Taeyong had time to spin around. But Taeyong was just as fast.
Ten was bouncing the ball about a meter away from him, confident as ever with a wide smile on his face as he eyed Taeyong. Taeyong keep his eyes on the ball. He focused on its every move as Ten bounced it from hand to hand.
That's when Ten moved. He sprinted towards Taeyong and faked to the left. Taeyong anticipated this and cleanly snatched the ball out from under him.
An impressed Johnny whistled from the sidelines. “Nice one Tae!” He cried, cheering him on.
Taeyong grinned as he dribbled the ball to the hoop; Ten put up a good fight but he wasn't going to win this game so easily. He jumped up to dunk the ball into the hoop but a hand smacked it out of his grip. The ball tumbled to the ground, rolled and hit the fence.
Taeyong landed in a crouch and looked up in surprise to see Ten staring down at him with a satisfied smile on his face. He reached down to gently trace his fingers along Taeyong’s jaw.
“How did you...?” Taeyong asked breathlessly. He had come out of nowhere.
Ten didn't respond. He just continued to stare down at him. Taeyong felt like he was going to be swallowed whole by the intensity of his gaze. There was longing and desire in his warm brown eyes that captivated Taeyong.
Taeyong knew he should be focused on the game but right now the gorgeous man in front of him had his full attention. The collar of Ten’s t-shirt was wet with sweat and clung to his delicate collarbones. He drew his gaze up Ten’s neck and to his lips. They were parted as he breathed deeply. Taeyong knew exactly how they felt against his; their softness, their taste.
Taeyong swallowed down his growing desire to reach out and touch Ten, instead letting himself take in the rest of his beauty. His black hair was flopped messing over his forehead, and his numerous ear piercings gleamed in the dying sunlight.
Ten stepped a few paces back but kept his eyes locked on Taeyong’s. He crouched down so he was level with Taeyong’s line of sight.
“Got you.” He whispered quietly, barely audible enough for Taeyong to hear. His lips drew up into a dark smile.
Huh? Taeyong frowned but a second later Ten was gone.
“Taeyong! What are you doing?!” Mark yelled.
Taeyong leapt up, finally realising his mistake but it was too late.
Ten was already at the other end of the court. He jumped easily up to dunk the ball into the hoop. Johnny cheered loudly for him and he triumphantly raised his fists in the air, turning back to look at Taeyong.
Taeyong’s mouth fell open as he realised that he had just lost the game.
“Cheat- you cheated.” Taeyong stuttered as he stared dumbfounded at Ten.
“No I didn't. You just fell for my seductive charms.” Ten replied back confidently.
Ten sauntered over to him, looking graceful and powerful like he was walking the catwalk. He stopped, his face inches from Taeyong’s and lifted his hands up to cup Taeyong’s face.
“You're all mine now.” He whispered, brushing his lips against his.
Taeyong didn't have any reply and closed his eyes as Ten kissed him, surrendering himself to him. Ten was definitely going to make every use of Taeyong’s lips as he could tonight; Taeyong just knew it.
“Man, that game was intense. Time for a feed now don't you think? I'm starving.” Mark suggested.
Ten let go of Taeyong but placed his hand in his as Taeyong opened his eyes and looked towards his friends. Mark helped Johnny to his feet.
“We'll done Ten.” Johnny congratulated him.
Ten smiled proudly and squeezed Taeyong’s hand. “Thanks.” He replied sweetly.
“Where do you want to have dinner?” Mark asked.
Ten thought for a moment before smiling brightly at them. “At Il Palladio on the seventh floor.” He responded, shooting a smug look at Taeyong.
Taeyong avoided his gaze. Ten was practically glowing with happiness now and Taeyong could tell where his mind was going with his choice of restaurant. It was the fanciest restaurant onboard. Elegant and high class, with exquisite meals and plenty of champagne to go around.
“The theme is formal tonight remember.” Ten added.
Of course, Taeyong thought to himself. Ten had clearly planned this night ahead of time. The fancy restaurant, black tie attire. Taeyong could only imagine what else Ten had in store for him. He stole a glance at the handsome man holding his hand. Ten noticed and winked deviously at him.
That look made Taeyong nervous, but also made him feel something else; something that got his heart beating faster in anticipation.
“Shall I meet you outside the restaurant?” Ten suggested.
“Sounds good. We'll see you in twenty.” Johnny agreed.
Ten smiled then slowly kissed Taeyong’s cheek.
“I can't wait to see you in a suit.” Ten hummed against his skin. He pulled away, breaking the connection between them. He picked up the basketball and slipped through the fence gate.
Taeyong watched him go; a handsome silhouette against the deep blue sea and burning orange of the sun set. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to be seen in his arms. Maybe.
