I woke up and did my daily routine and got ready to go to work.I looked in the mirror and looked at myself.I wish I knew how to do makeup or something.I wasn't the best looking girl and that made me really insecure.I shook my negative thoughts out of my head and headed out to work.I got to work and went into my office and began working.
"Kimberley, you're needed in the boarding room."I furrowed my eyebrows.I really didn't get to get any of my work done but at this moment, that wasn't important.Board room meetings are usually with all of the employees, not just one.My anxiety began to take over my body until I got to the door.
I opened it and my heart almost immediately sank to the pit of stomach.I saw my boss sitting in the room along with the guy that I spilt the coffees on yesterday and his bodyguards.All eyes were on me as I walked around the table to take a seat beside my boss.I kept my head down the whole time,avoiding eye contact with anyone in there.
"This is one of my best workers, Kimberley Blue.She's been working for me for 3 years."My boss was talking so highly of me to the people.My heart began to beat 1,000 MPH.
"She's a bit shy, please excuse her.Kimberley, this here is Kyle Harvey, you're going to be working for his company starting Monday."I slowly raised my head and looked at my boss and then at Kyle.He was still as good looking as yesterday.He simply looked at me and gave me a quick smile and wave.I slowly waved back and looked back down.
"O-okay."I really didn't want to move from my job since I loved it so much.It was my norm and transitioning really wasn't my thing.
"Go ahead and head back to your office to start packing your things.Kyle's bodyguards will help you transport them to his facility."I nodded and got up to go and pack my things.
My colleagues all came to say goodbye to me as I packed my things up.Maybe this move could be a good thing.I smiled to myself thinking about how I was going to be in close quarters with Kyle.Hopefully, he forgave me for yesterday.His guards came one by one and collected the boxes in my office and took it downstairs.
"Hey, Kim, when you're done packing,you can head on home.You're going to need to rest tomorrow.It was great having you work here though, you're truly going to be missed."My boss gave me some last words of encouragement as I packed the last of my things.
"Thank you, sir.I'll make sure that I come and visit."I gave him a smile of endearment and finished packing.This could all be the start of something new....and beautiful.
