I woke up on Monday morning with butterflies roaming my stomach.I was growing more and more nervous with every second that went by.I finished my morning routine and went downstairs to have breakfast with my family.
"Good morning, baby?How did you sleep?"My mom greeted me as I sat down at the table with my sisters.
"Um-sort of-okay."My mom turned and looked at me with a confused, but curious expression.
"Tell me what's going on."My mom said as she brang me a plate of food.I began to eat and tell her what was going to be happening today.
"So - you know that I guy I told you about - with the whole cafe situation?"
"Yeah, what about him?"
"I got a raise and now - I kind of work for him?"My mom got super happy and hugged me.
"Congratulations, honey, that's amazing.Just don't let him intimidate you.I raised you with a strong heart.Use it to your best ability.You've got this."She kissed my forehead and hugged me once more.
"You're right, mom, thank you for the advice.And breakfast, too."I said as I got up and left the table.I kissed my sisters and my mother goodbye and began to make my way towards my new job.
I drove through Rodeo Drive and into Beverly Hills.
I pulled up to a broad mansion on a hilltop.I was truly impressed, what is this guy's occupation, goodness.I drove up to the front of a gate where two guards stood.They buzzed me in and I drove into the driveway.I parked and got out.I slowly approached the front door and rang the doorbell.Kyle answered the door within a minute.He had his shirt off revealing his beautiful tattoos.I looked down to avoid staring.
"So, are you going to say something or..?"Kyle said standing there waiting for me to speak.
"Oh - uh, I'm sorry.Uh - hi."I should really work on that stupid stuttering.
"Hm, we're going to have to work on that.Come in."Such a mind reader.
He walked away from the door and into the lobby of his house.I entered and shut the door.I was truly mesmerized by his beautiful home.I was looking around until I ran into someone.
"Watch it!I was about to drop my croissant."The dark skin male said as he walked and bit into a croissant.I laughed a little causing Kyle to look at me & furrow his eyebrows.
"Who are you?"The boy eating the croissant asked.
"I'm Kimberley.And you are?"I couldn't believe I was actually talking to someone.I was actually breaking out of my shell.
"Oh yeah, you're the new intern Kyle hired.I'm Justin,but around here,I'm known as Brick.Welcome to the team, girl!"He sure was funny.We were going to be great friends.
"Kim, come on.That's enough talking.You need to get to work."Kyle said walking into an office, signaling me to follow him.
"It was nice to meet you, Brick."I smiled and waved at him as he returned the favor while devouring his croissant.
I entered into an office to find a desk with loads of papers on it.
"File all of these into the filing cabinet behind you.Don't move until it's done."Kyle said sternly, walking out.
"Wait - uh, Kyle?Can I tell you - uh - something?"I was just talking perfectly fine, but when I talk to him, I get nervous.I don't even know why.He stopped and turned around to look at me.
"I-I'm really s-sorry about the coffee."I said.He looked at me for a little longer and then spoke.
"I don't care about that anymore.Just get to work."He seemed so upset for some apparent reason.I studied the paperwork and read through it.He was a musician?In this lavish house?I would have never guessed.I began to work until I was done.

I finished around 9 PM.I stood up to yawn and stretch and go let Kyle know that I was done.
I slowly turned to the doorknob of the door and entered into the hallway.I walked into the kitchen to be greeted by a bunch of men with Kyle and Brick.They were talking and laughing until I walked in.I recognized them as some of Kyle's bodyguards.I furrowed my eyebrows at why Kyle would be friends with them, but who was I to judge.
"Did you finish?"Kyle said with a hint of attitude.
"Uh, yeah.Its kind of l-late so I should get going."I said grabbing my bag.
"Okay.Pack your things, you're going to start staying here starting tomorrow."Kyle said taking a sip of his wine in his glass.
I looked at him and nodded.I walked out and went to my car.
I'm not really liking this job, but it's a really good pay.Besides, its only my first day.It'll get better, it has to.
