Hello, it's me again, the annoying author! Sorry for the long wait, my brain has been dead and my schedule has been busy, but I hope you'll enjoy this chapter.  I'd extremely happy to see that my reads and my likes have doubled, all thanks to you!  Thank you so very much!  Keep doing what you're doing :).  Thanks again for everything, and I hope you enjoy this next chapter....It's a little cheesy...

Note: a Gytrash is a transparent dog (similar to the Grim, though obviously not black) that comes out at night.  This creature is seen in the early Harry Potter PC games...I think, if I remember correctly.  It's on the Harry Potter wiki if you want to read more (there isn't too much information).

I landed smoothly.  I had actually worried about loosing control of the broomstick in the last few metres above ground and landing face first into a pile of snow at her feet.  Victoire seemed torn between looking above at the fiery letters and my face, but her smile stretched across her face, showing me that beautiful smile.

"That was impressive." She finally said, still beaming.

I shrugged and winked, "Well, I've been known to work miracles.  So, what do you say?"

"Yes, of course I'll go to the Yule Ball with you," She said and pulled me into a hug.  Score: 1 to Teddy, 0 to Aamor.

"See, I told you, you shouldn't doubt me you know." Kyra said stubbornly and crossed her arms as she pouted towards Victoire.

     Victoire's P.O.V

The last few weeks had been extra busy for everyone.  Prefects and teachers still ran around, adding last minute decorations.  Teachers had given unimaginable piles of extra homework--especially to the fifth-years and seventh-years--to students to be done over the break, which any sane person would have already started.  There had also been excess drama.  Tears, both happy and sad were happening in every bathroom and dorm throughout the castle.  Many of the girls had gone all the way to look a little better than usual ever since the Yule Ball news came out.  Aamor had asked me out to the Yule Ball a few days after Teddy had, and he had assured me it was only for friend-purposes.  He knew he had to find someone to go with him and I was the only girl he knew that he felt comfortable with, and he was nervous about asking anyone else, but I assured him that nearly any girl would be happy to go with him.

I glanced one last time in the large mirror that was propped up against one side of the wall before turning to Kyra.  She smiled at me with satisfaction.  Her dress was short, stopping around mid-thigh.  It had a bubble-dress style bottom and a sweet-heart neckline.  A large, black belt-like thing sat securely around her waist.  It had an interesting pattern of dark metallic colours with a see-through black material covering the bottom.  It was very Kyra-esque.  She had left her brown hair as usual, simple and straight.

My dress was a teal-gray colour and floor length.  It had a beaded halter top with a sweet-heart neckline, of which the top was also beaded.  The material was tight and snug around my body to just below my hips, where the material was swept and held together on the side by a beaded flower, while the bottom flowed freely.  Kyra had insisted on curling my hair lightly and seemed happy enough with the result.

"You know, you can really tell you're one eighth veela.  It's a shame you can't shoot fireballs from your palms when you get mad though." Kyra said while taking a last look in the mirror.

I gave a snort, "What are you talking about?  By the time you get to one-eighths, you can barely recognize it anymore."

Kyra just shook her head and sighed, "You're so oblivious Tori,"
