"As if we want our world to become more chaotic than it already is. I mean, we already had to deal with Galeem and Dharkon invading our world, and now we gotta deal with...this." Pit addressed.

Just then, Beep-0 received a message from their mysterious messenger.

"Uh, I've received another message from our mysterious friend," Beep-0 noted. "Let me read it to you: 'Congratulations, Beep-0! You have successfully led your party through trials and travails worthy of Odysseus himself...' Finally! SOMEONE gives me the credit I'm due."

"This, of course, is mainly due to the Smash Cast and their Rabbid friends-who skill in battle you vastly underestimated." Rabbid Luigi clapped at this. "Yes, well...Ahem!" Beep-0 said with a bit of annoyance in his tone."Though as with Odysseus, there are rougher waters ahead. Therefore I feel the time has come to bestow upon you some NEW tools for your arsenal."

As Beep-0 hit the letter's arsenals, a few digital photos of Mario, Rabbid Peach, and Rabbid Luigi came out and floated above their heads, as they all watched in amusement.

"Henceforth, in addition to being able to move and fire upon your adversaries, you will each be able to perform ONE other action during the natural course of combat. To Mario, I have given the gifts of Hero Sight and M-Power. When the former is activated, you will be able to strike at foes within range even outside the normal succession of events, while the latter increases weapon damage along with the damage caused by any heroes in range." the addressed powers went inside Mario, with an orange and blue aura briefly surrounding him. "Now, this is-a nice!" he smiled.

"To Rabbid Peach, I give the gifts of Shield and Heal. When used, it will ward against most weapons damage, while the latter gives the ability to heal yourself any allies within range." the addressed powers went inside Rabbid Peach, with a pink bubble surrounding her, followed by a green aura with plus signs. "Woah..." she awed.

"To Rabbid Luigi, I grant Super Barrier and Weaken. When used, it protects you against enemy Super Effects and can also reduce damage, while the latter gives you the ability to decrease the strength of enemy weapons." the addressed powers went inside Rabbid Luigi, with green bubble surrounding him, followed by a red aura afterwards. "Oh?" he wondered.

"There are more supplies in this message for a few cosplaying crusaders. As for how to most effectively use your new gifts, I leave that to you to discover for yourselves. More gifts will come in the future....I hope. With Anticipation, Your Biggest Fan"

"Aha! Our incognito ally's ability to give us exactly what we need at exactly the right time is uncanny!" Beep-0 exclaimed. "Remind me not to play them at Go Fish."

Eventually, the Crew ran into a battlefield with 3 Ziggies and 1 Hopper, however, the battlefield also had some strange looking cover blocks inside of it.

"Check out those suspicious covers! They have the same Super Effect symbol most weapons have." Beep-0 pointed out. "They look ready to explode-or something. Let's avoid using weapons within close proximity to them!"

The Crew got into positions. Pichu first ran up to one of the Ziggies and used Skull Bash against him, slightly hurting the little Pokemon. Rabbid Luigi went behind partial cover that was close to one of the Ziggy, he then fired a shot at one of the Special Effect covers one of the Ziggies were behind, pushing him off the field, making him vanish in the process. After that, he set up a Super Barrier, making him immune to any Super Effective attacks. Ness shouted "PK Flash!" as a ball of green light appeared above him and guided it's way over to one of the Ziggies, exploding upon impact. Rabbid Peach went behind partial cover and shot another Ziggy that was behind a Super Effective block, pushing him off the battlefield just like his comrade, making him vanish away. Then, she set up her Shield, making attacks do less damage towards her. Mario team jumped off of Rabbid Luigi and landed behind a full cover block, he then tried to shoot the Ziggy that was behind the partial cover block, but missed. But, however, Mario activated Hero Sight.
