Even though Karu saw her brother got mad multiple times. This is the first time she saw how he acted that way towards their mom. She can see based on Sharp's expression that he is really mad and now they are having a serious silence in the living room. Karu decided to prepare some tea for them.
"Are you sure you want to stay with me and live like this?" Sharp start to talk and look at his sister.
"Yes, you're my brother and I can't let you suffer alone. I don't want to be with her after what she did to us" Karu answer him with the assurance that she can do better with him besides.
"Still she is our mom, are you sure you can?" she looks at him while he is staring at his tea.
"Why are you saying these things now?" He still looks at his tea.
"Why you are suddenly acting like I was a big mistake of your life" when Karu said that Sharp look at her.
"No, that's not what I mean Karu"
"Then what is the problem now? You know I can still live, we survive for 3 years" he smiles.
"I can live with you like this way. We can survive, hmm?" Karu added.
"It all started with us" he said in a low voice but enough for Karu to hear.
"What are you talking about?" Karu asked him,
"Our friend's miserable youth, it's all because of me"
"What are you saying? It's not our fault and would you please...just please stop blaming your youth! Their youth!! We choose to be this way, not our youth! This is how life works with youth! Why can't you just face the truth and just accept this reality!" Karu shouted at him out of her frustration.
"Karu, wait!" She left the house and heads to the sea,
"AHHH!! Why! Why are you doing this to us! They didn't do anything wrong! We only want to live with our dreams! Why Youth?! Why adults are so complicated?!" Karu screamed at the mad ocean waves and the strong wind and out of nowhere someone answers her questions.
"Because they thought we are weak!" I heard a familiar voice. I look at my back, it was Gray's voice and I saw him standing not so far from me.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him while approaching me.
"Well, I just heard you shouting before I enter the house and you like crazy drunk old woman" I playfully punch his arms.
"Hey! That's hurt!" I sat down on the sand he follow me too.
"Why are you shouting anyway?" he looks at me.
"I am not just shouting, I am mad" I explain to him.
"To whom? The sea?"
"Why he has a lot of question?" Karu's thought while looking at Gray.
"Hey~ I am asking you" I lost my thoughts when Gray waves his hands in front of my face.
"Oh sorry, it was my mom, Sharp, to the world, my friends and my youth" I said to him while staring at those mad ocean waves.
"You are mad at me?" he asks and I look at him.
"Well not specific to you, but to all of you. Yuan, Othello, Hence, Min, Marcus, You and Sharp" he looks up to the sky.
"Why us and your youth?" He corners me with that question.
"Well, I am not always blaming my youth. I blame you and how you questioned your own youth, like why are you acting that way? Why does Adult acting that way?" Gray doesn't know how to answer Karu with all of her questions.
"She acts like Marcus, she asked a lot of questions regarding how life works but none of us answered them based on what they want to hear." His thoughts while still thinking to answer the question of Karu.
"Why we bothered to answer that question when you already working on it? You know Karu. All of us just want to live on what we dream of but not all of us end it the way we want it to be, not all the things you dream will come to you. Sometimes disappointment leads to new hope. I think the adult is just sick with that concept, they overcome that stage and they always thought that everyone can do it easily, like how they accept it. We as a youth is still struggling because no one guides us or support us while growing up" He tries to explain to her but she has another question.
"That's why our curious and hatred in life was triggered?" Gray simply nod at her not because he doesn't know how to answer it but it explains it all.
"Well, not basically triggered, some is already thinking what they want and some people is still lost. They need to work hard to figure it out the missing piece in their youth in order to pass it" Gray added.
"Until when we will work hard for that?"
"Argh, why do you have a curious mind like Marcus?" she smiled at him and still waiting for the answer to her question.
"Okay, here is my answer. Until you feel it that you already achieve what you want in life and it doesn't mean you are going to stop working. You have to keep going and if you not, you will lose the things you already built. Working hard is a great foundation for your dreams" After that Gray hope this time she finally understands what he meant. He just stares at her, she is so innocent and full of life into Gray's eyes. A little girl he used to play with is now a grown-up woman who was more curious in her life.
