"Miracle is only for the lazy one"- Karu

"Karu!" I heard my mom's voice, I stare the ceiling for no reason, maybe hoping that something will be different today. When I heard my mom calling for the second time, I decided to stand up and fixed myself for today.
"You're gonna be late for school, young lady" When she said that I look at the wall clock, and yes she is right I am going to be late but who cares. I quietly ate my breakfast as fast as I can and left my mom. While I am waiting for the bus, I receive another message from an anonymous number that my brother is dead, it is normal for me. Since the day I woke up and knowing that my brother left me with mom and the month that I can't reach him by calling his phone, I did whatever I can to find him, even Gray and Othello but in the end, I failed. So I post my number on various social media just for people to give me some information about them. But as the day passes by, my hopes to see the three of them slowly fading as I consciously accepting the reality that they don't want me to see them, which they don't want to show up in my life anymore. It's been years since I face the reality that my brother gave to me. There is a year full of hope that I will see him again and patience to my life, there is also a year full of anxious feelings. As I am approaching the end of my youth, still working hard to become an adult. When I got out from the bus, I saw a poster on of the post in the street with a familiar name written on it.
"Gray's Youth Photo and Art Exhibit" as I read the poster.
"Gray?" Karu took a picture of it and she searches where the exhibit will be held. After the class, she decided to go and check if it's really the Gray that she knew.

The moment she enters the exhibit, Karu felt heavy as she begun to saw some familiar photos and canvas. Gray mixed it with some of their photos and the canvas hanging on that house. It's already late and the closing time of the exhibit is near and Karu still doesn't see Gray anywhere. When she went outside, the raindrop starts to pour from the dark sky, she forgot to bring an umbrella. Karu let out a big sigh and hug herself from the cold and start to feel the raindrops with her bare hands when someone stands beside her.
"You look great" Karu knew that voice, how can she forgot that person and as soon she look at the person beside her. Her eyes grew bigger and she was right, it was him, Gray.
"I missed his face, his voice, his presence" out of her excitement Karu hug him.
"It's been a while since we saw each other" Gray said. They both decided to talk inside a coffee shop near the exhibit.
"Sharp?" Karu asked him and Gray remained silent as he simply staring at her.
"Where is my brother?" she added.
"I really don't know Karu"
"Why? Where have you been?"
"He left after a week when Min died when he left you in the hospital and the day after that Othello is nowhere to be seen" Gray finally burs it out. He can't hide it from Karu.
"What about Hence?"
"He died months after Sharp and Othello left the town"
"It's true, he left us?" Gray slowly nodded. Karu knows about Hence from the beginning, she wanted to go to pay a visit at Hence funeral but her mom doesn't let her. Estella was scared what if Sharp might be there, she can't lose her daughter again. But still, Karu was bothered that she can't find Sharp and she doesn't have enough information about him. Karu begins to see herself getting mad at her mom and the adult in front of her.
"Good to know that you are fine now Gray"
"I am glad to see you again, Karu" he shows her his warm smile, giving a picture for Karu that everything is going to be alright.

After more talk with Gray, Karu decided to go home at dinner time. When she got home her mom was preparing the table for the two of them
"Karu, let's eat" Estella smile at her daughter and Karu gladly accept it and sat down across to her mom.
"Where is he?" Karu suddenly asked her as they both begun to eat.
"Who?" Karu curled her fist while holding the fork.
"Who? Let me remind you that I am not only your child, you also have a son out there wondering why you don't take care of him!" Estella was shocked because of the sudden action of her daughter.
"Karu? What the hell are you talking about this time?" Estella asked her again.
"Yes, this time. Since my brother left me with her, I never been nice and blame her every day on my miserable life and every day I keep reminding myself that I have my brother, he was lost since then." Karu's thought while glaring at her mom.
"See! You only care for me and you don't have any idea where he is! You don't have a right to call yourself a mother! He is your son for god's sake!" she stands up and left her mom. Karu grabbed her things and left the house again.
