Eight: "The Dull Youth"

"I still want to dream of becoming a star that shines brightly than the moon"- Sharp

"Min!" I can't help myself to scream, when I look at Min unconscious body inside his bathtub. Gray and Sharp is trying to get Min's body out of the water. He looks so pale.
"Karu?" Gray look at me and hold me.
"Everything is going to be alright" Gray trying to comfort me, I look at them.
"Gray!" I saw my brother and finally, Min's body was out of the water. Sharp try to CPR him but still, Min is not breathing. Gray carry Min on his back. That moment I saw Min's face unconscious and pale, I don't feel my legs moving.
"Karu?" Sharp look at me again, he holds my hands and says.
"Min is going to be fine, trust us" when he said that I nod. Gray drive as fast as he can to get us to the hospital. When we came, nurses help us to get Min into the emergency room.
"What happened to him?" one of the nurses asked us.
"He was drown in the w-water" Gray trying to explain nervously. The nurse nodded
"He will be fine right? He must be"
"We will try our best, excuse me sir wait us outside" I think Gray become tired and simply followed them. We don't have a choice but to wait again.
"Gray, here drink this" Sharp handed me a warm cup of milk.
"How's Karu?" I asked him.
"I think she is fine now, she was shocked to see Min like that" we look at Karu who was sitting on the other side of the bench, nervously waiting for the doctor or anyone who will explain to us what happened to Min.
"I hope everything will be okay" I said to Sharp. We wait for 2 hours and someone approaches us.
"Is he okay?" I asked.
"He is stable now, but he faces another problem. He is on a coma right now, too much water went to his brain and it causes loss of oxygen inside." we stared at the floor when we heard the Min's condition.
"Coma?" I said while slowly sat down again and stare at the floor. I saw Othello coming.
"How's Min?" when he asked us, Karu came to his side and hug Othello.
"Why are you not answering? Karu?" he looks at Karu who was already crying.
"Brain coma" Sharp said with a flat tone when he said that Karu hugs him tightly. Othello pats her back and comfort her. We all decided to stay outside the ICU, where the nurses and his doctor continue to monitor him, from his status right now.
"Karu, you must go home. You already have class tomorrow" Sharp said to me.
"But-" she looks at them, Gray stands up.
"I will send you home" when he said that, Othello speaks up.
"I will send her home, stay here with Sharp. I still have to keep working" Othello insist.
"For how long do you need to pretend that everything is okay with you?" Othello, look at Sharp.
"I don't have anything to say right now" Othello said and hold Karu's hand.
"Are you dumb or what Othello? You really don't care about us anymore?" After Sharp said that, Karu saw Othello's fist curled up.
"What do you want me to do? Starred at those closed doors? Stare at Min's unconscious state? For god's sake Sharp look around yourself! We are like four and the other half of this group has nowhere to be seen! I am also tried to pretend to be strong but I can't! I hate this life!" Karu was lost with Othello's sudden reaction.
"I will go home, text me if something happens" Karu didn't wait for their response and follow Othello behind who left already.
"Othello, wait!" I look at Karu.
"Can you send me home?" she asked and I nod at her smiling. We took a taxi, it's already midnight and it will be dangerous for Karu if we wait for a bus.
"Look, Karu. I am sorry you have to see all this chaos" I look at her, while we are inside the taxi.
"No, it's okay. At some point you are right. My brother become so sensitive, I hope you will understand him"
"Of course! I will and be strong for us. hmm?" I said to her and she smiles at me. The taxi sent Karu first.

While I am on the road. I look at my phone. I read again the scholarship from Marcus parents. I don't have any idea how will I react to this. If I will reject it for the second time, I will surely hurt their feelings. They care for me since then like I was their own son, I am great full for that. I found myself still can't decide because of my friend's situation.
