Half Full

One

"I need to use the wash room, I will be right back", I said to my bestfriend Amanda.

"Girl you better hurry, I am not going to sit in a restaurant by myself like an idiot", complained Amanda.

"Ok ok, I will not take long", I replied as I got up from my seat.

I've just graduated college from Paris. I came back home not too long ago, after four years of studying Art and Interior Designing. I've missed my friends especially my best friend, Amanda who has just graduated as well. We came to celebrate our victory, it is like a girls' day out. Although I'm not sure which victory, since we are both unemployed at the moment.
Way to start adulthood, huh?

On my way back from the bathroom, I get a call from Ammy...weird.
"Girl, miss me already?" I said as I kept walking to the spot I left her in.

"Girl, I think you should stay in there for a sec", whispers Amanda.

"Amanda, I did not quite catch the last words, why are you even whispering? Are you in trouble already?", I asked as I hurriedly reached our table, only to see...

Cedrick, my first love and first heartbreak. I froze seeing him with the devil herself, Katherine.

Flashback

"Ed and I are a thing now, he was just using you to get into your pants, but you were so boring that he got tired of you.

I give it to him so hard that he keeps begging for more and you know what else, he can not like pigs like you...
You're so fat he gets embarrassed just being seen in public with you..."

End of flashback

That is what Katherine said to me and the last time I saw Cedrick.

Seeing him again brought back the hurt and betrayal I felt when I last saw him.

"Hi Sam", said Cedrick. The nerve of him calling me by that name.

I did not want to talk or look at him with his slut of a girlfriend 'Katherine with a K', as she used to say.

"Hi Sammy girl, it's been a minute, huh?", Katherine blatted out.

I had to get the hell out of this place before a human or two got hurt. So I turned to Amanda in the calmest way possible.

"We NEED to go. Now, Amanda", I said to her. So we left.

I do not even know why I still feel this anger towards Cedrick, I thought it had varnished but I think it was just buried deep inside there somewhere.
