Chapter 8: Wakanda

Wakanda, medical facility

"You sure about this, James?" I said as he stood there. A black wrap was placed over his missing arm. "I can't trust my own mind, doll. So, until they figure out how to get this stuff out of my head I think going back under is the best thing, ...for everybody." He smiles at me and kisses me once more. "I love you." The capsule begins to close on him, "I love you more, Bucky." He smiles and the ice forms over him. Steve stands staring through a window, T'Challa walks towards him. I walk out of room with tears brimming in my eyes. "Thank you for this." Steve and I say simultaneously. "Your friend, your husband, and my father, they were both victims. If I can help one of them find peace..." I smiled and looked back through the glass. "You know, If they find out they are here... they'll come for them. I looked at T'Challa and he smirked, " Let them try."

We walked out of the building and the quinjet was there. "You know you can always go with me." Steve said as he opened up the panel. "I know but I wanna be here for him. I am his wife in the first place." He chuckled at looked at me. Steve pulled me into a hug, "Thank you, Steve." He nodded, reaching into his small pocket. "I found this on the floor after the whole incident with Stark." Bucky's wedding ring laid in his calloused hand. I gently picked it up and place it onto my thumb. I murmured a small thank you to him, giving him a quick hug. He went into the jet, flying off.

"Mrs. Barnes." I turn around to see a young girl standing there. "I'm Shuri. I will be here to show you around and get you comfortable. As well as get you situated in the lab. T'Challa told me about how you created your AI and how he knew of your help of creating Vision." I smiled at her. "Call me Blaire. Shall we get started?" I smiled as she led me to the Labs. "God, I love this place." Shuri led me around the main part of Wakanda where all the labs and showed me some of the living spaces there. She handed me some clothes that would be needed for me once I get situated here. She led me to my living place for now until we figured out how to get HYDRA out of Bucky's mind.

2 months later

July 14, 2017

We finally figured out how we were going to take out everything. We have been taking out little bits of HYDRA out of him ever since we got here. It was the day where we finally got rid of the last part. My heart was racing as I watched Shuri do her thing. She thought it would be best for me to watch this one instead. Silence filled the room I was in. It felt like forever until she gave me a thumbs up. I released a breath that I didn't know I was holding. I stood up as some of the members of the staff helped transports an unconscious Bucky to our house in the country. I stayed behind as I needed to finish some of my work for his new arm. "Mrs. Barnes, you can go home now. I'll take it from here." I got up from the chair and looked up to see T'Challa. "Thank you, T'Challa."

I nodded as I took off my coat and placed it in a locker. I turned on my watch, "Maddie, inform me on James' condition." I began to head over to the little hut I had to myself. "He seems to be in peace, Mrs. Barnes. He is currently sleeping. He will awake in an hour and 43 minutes." I thanked Maddie as I portaled myself to my home. Bucky was sleeping on my bed, cuddling into my pillow. I picked up my papers from my floor, trying to tidy up a bit before he awakes. I went outside, attending to my garden. Three little girls came up to me, "Blaire, can we play in your house today?" Nakia asked as she gave me a pleading look. I smiled at her, "Of course. Just be careful to not wake my husband." They all giggled and went inside my home. I laughed a little and moved my attention to my garden. Picking some strawberries and plums, placing them into a basket. The sun was beginning to set. I stood up and wiped my dress. The three girls ran out of the house giggling.

I picked up the basket and made my way to the front of the hut. There he stood, the man I had longed for. He had a huge smile placed on his face once he saw me. "Blaire." He breathly said. Putting down the basket, I went to hug him tightly. "Geez Buck. I missed you like h*ll." I said, tightening my arms around his waist. He placed his right arm around my waist, tightening his grip on me. Pulling me in closer, he placed a small kiss on top of my head. "I missed you more." He said as Nakia came and ran around with her friends. "How do you feel?" I said as I fixed his attire. "I feel fine. Better than before." He smiled as he followed me inside. I set down the basket of fruits, washing and cutting up some plums and strawberries for him. "I love you so much. Now we can focus on us. A family." Bucky said as he kissed me. "I love you so dearly, Buck. I'm so happy to have you back."

"I'll glad I'm here with you, doll."
