Chapter 7.5: It wasn't you

As the video cuts off, another appears. My adoptive parents were seen on the screen. "Mom? Dad?" I move closer to the screen, seeing myself in my old room. I see myself being sucked into a portal. The Winter Soldier strangle my dad to death. Steve looked at Tony, he lunged at him. "Tony. It wasn't him. He didn't do it!" I yelled at him. Consumed with grief and tears glistening in his eyes, he turns and looks at Steve. "Did you know?" I moved toward Bucky, getting ready to shield him. "I didn't know it was him." "Don't bullsh*t me, Rogers! Did you know?" I looked at him and waited for an answer. My heart slowly breaking, "Yes." My face fell once he said it. He knew Bucky killed my parents. No, it wasn't him. That wasn't your bucky.

Tony steps back, his chin jutting upwards twitchily. Tony reengages the Iron Man helmet. He punches Steve to the floor and deflects gunfire from Bucky, disarming him. He grabs Bucky and flies across the chamber. Tony slams him onto the floor, then jumps on his arms. Steve's shield hits Tony, distracting him. I barged towards him, Tony shoulders me to the floor and shackles my ankles. Bucky punches Tony who just lifts him and slams him against a machine. Tony raises a fist but Bucky twists it. I get out of the shackles and blast Tony. A rocket shoots out of Tony's arm, a fireball explodes. I open a portal as a towering structure of pipeworks collapses. Tony and Bucky are thrown down a level as twisted metal falls around them, showering sparks.

"Get out of here!" I yell at Bucky. As Bucky bolts Tony fires, but misses. Steve lands in front of him. Bucky hits a control panel and the silo-styled door overhead starts to open. I began to open a portal to get up with Bucky. I sent a shock wave towards Tony. "It wasn't him, Tony. Hydra had control of his mind!" Panic set in as I began to create a shield. "Move!" Tony looked at me. "It wasn't him!" I yelled as put my watch off. Steve grabs Tony's ankle in mid air and smashes it. Tony blocks Steve by shooting down rubble, then falteringly flies up the tower. Bucky leaps from platform to platform as I opened portals to catch up and shield him. With stuttering jets Tony gives chase, then kicks Bucky and takes aim, but the energy bold rebounces on Steve's shield onto himself. Tony drops like a stone and lands on a lower platform.

"He's not going to stop. Go." As Tony soars upwards, Steve leaps and shoots a wire which wraps around Tony's neck and drags him back down. He deflects Steve's shield, then tries to target Bucky. His helmet retracts and he shuts one eye, taking aim at the opening hatch. He fires and hits the giant hinge which explodes, cutting of Bucky's and I escape route. He flies up, blocks two swings from an iron pipe from Bucky, then grabs him around the neck from behind. "Do you even remember them?" I stood up and wiped the blood from my forehead. "I remember all of them." Bucky pushes Tony from the walkway. Steve jumps into us to deflect our fall. Bucky lands on a platform while Tony and Steve land on the concrete floor besides opening in the wall where snow drifts in from outside. "This isn't gonna change what happened, Tony." I said as I appeared from a portal. "I don't care. He killed my mom."

We trade punches and Tony ends up pinning Steve down. Bucky picks up Captain America's shield, leaping down to help. He throws it to me as I punch Tony with it. Handing it off the Steve. As we all fist fight with Tony, he manages to zapp Steve who is thrown back into the wall. Bucky struggles to hold Tony at bay as he unleashes an energy beam, then he forces Iron Man against the opposite wall and grips the glowing core in the chest of the Tony's suit. A blast of energy knocks Bucky down, metal arm completely blown away. "Bucky!" I yelled as my blood began to boil. Tony zapps him again but I used my portal to push it elsewhere. My eyes began to go white as I pushed Tony to the wall. I began to float up in the air, blowing punches at him. I cry out at him, trying to release every pent up emotion at him. "Analyze her fight pattern." I heard Tony say as I held him by his neck, tossing him to the other side of the space.

Tony raises his left palm ready to fire. Bucky grabs his leg and Tony spins, kicking him in the face. Steve grabs Tony and lifts him over his head, then throws him down. I punch him and bash his mask off with Steve's shield before striking down hard on the suit's core. Tony looks horrified and looks fearfully at Steve who pants for a breath. I have have blood spattered across my face. Steve looks back at Tony then shuts his eyes and slumps down. The shield remains upright, stuck fast in the center of the Tony suit. When Steve struggles up again he takes hold of the shield, gripping the edge and pulling it free. I look at Bucky and immediately look at his injuries. Steve steps away from Tony who rolls painfully onto his side. Bucky lies bloodied and I help him get up slowly. Steve reaches out to help and pull him to his feet, holding him up as Tony looks on.

"That shield doesn't belong to you. You don't deserve it. My father made that shield!" Steve stops, raises his chin, then drops the shield and walks away with Bucky's arm around his shoulder.
